I probably should have clarified, but when I put in the "keeping it close" I was more or less implying the Louisville 6A teams. As far as Scott Co. or McCracken, yeah I agree. No moral victories there for SK at all.

A game as people who attended it though also said, Highlands could have easily lost. With that being said, a healthy Highlands team is definitely better than SK right now. But at the same time, many of the Highlands faithful are really underselling SK. This is a pretty good team, and they've beaten every team that was laid in front of them. That's all we can ask for. How good is SK? We'll find out when they play McCracken, Scott Co., or possibly one of the Louisville 6A teams. If SK does pull it off though, and somehow even keeps it close, I think UK#1 will be feeding out crow to you guys like crazy.

It's going to be interesting on the west side who gets to Bowling Green. Caldwell, CAL, and Desales all have a legitimate shot and are really tough. I honestly might favor CAL right now out of that group with their impressive game against Male. I know Sindelar is tough, but a team that holds a really good Male team to 6 points, that's extremely impressive. Only time will tell if they meet up, and if so, how Caldwell and CAL each game plan for it.

Totally (sarcasm). Plenty of kids from the area attend Highlands, just like plenty of kids from Bellevue/Dayton etc. attend NCC. Even kids that went to Dixie, BW or other areas have transferred to NCC. It happens. For you to act like specific programs don't have that prestige for it is ridiculous. Come on.

Just saying in general, not a diss on Highlands; but just about every kid in the area has plan a: their nearby high school or plan b: Highlands. It's not a bad thing, it's actually a good thing Highlands has that prestige.

Probably not, but BG doesn't have 96 kids and their choice of kids from the entire NKY area.

Concern of a possible loss??? You guys are saying the game was never in jeopardy.. From all indications it very much so was. And with all of Highlands' depth, should 5 starters sitting out really matter? I mean seriously.

You can make the claim it wasn't as close if it seems if it ends as a 2 TD loss and was a 35 point lead. But you can't use it when a team wins by 2. That's cause for legitimate concern.

Colerain, St. Ignatius, St. Edward, Moeller, Loveland, maybe St X or Lakota West. Just to name a few that I think could beat BG. That's not even the ones that would give BG a pretty good game and could pull it off maybe, (Elder, Winton Woods, etc.) It's not like BG would be blown out or anything though by the best of Ohio.

Closer than you think. Plus I find it hard to believe the top 2 are "head and shoulders above the rest" when CAL beat a Desales team at Cal by 3. Kind of tells you the two are closely matched. I'd say the top 3/4 are, but definitely not top 2.

At this point, I think there's a small gap with 1-6. BG has to be #1 right now for sure, but with all the 6A (Louisville ones, not SK) teams and Highlands, it honestly could be listed anyway. Personally, I'd have Highlands behind them, but they certainly made a case to be above a few with a close loss in the pit.
