1) Caldwell County-Home-field advantage until Final, offensive juggernaut.

2) CAL-Home-field advantage until Semi-state game, Good passing game, Great defense

3) NCC-Home-field advantage until Final, just now getting healthy, played a ROUGH schedule, King of the Hill until somebody knocks them off

4) DeSales-May have to go to Glasgow, to CAL, and to Caldwell County, just to PLAY for the State Championship

5) Glasgow-Lots of experience, at least 2 home games

6) Murray-Tough row to hoe

7) OCath-Tougher Row to Hoe

8) Middlesboro

8a)Somerset

8b)Danville

That is the best I can come up with.

Little Western Bias? I agree with top 4, but after that 5-10 is a total toss up!

Caldwell better get D fixed, cold weather makes cold hands and cold hands make receivers get alligator arms...they'll need to make some stops because it will get harder to score after week 1 of the playoffs...especially if it get's cold. The Tigers are in the middle year of a 3 year run at the title...I think they seal the deal this season and get it done...barring injury to a key player or two.

CAL holding Male to two FG's was probably the most impressive game by a 2A team last week...they'll be a hard out.

DeSales...looks primed to get there this season, but DeSales hasn't been able to get over the hump out west not sure if this is the year they finally can.

NCC plays solid football week in and week out...even giving up 21 quick points to Beechwood didn't rattle them last week and they came back to win that game.

Glasgow has a solid veteran team, they can run and pass the ball and have some explosive skill kids...the rest of the west should not look past them.

Wow. That's a tough road for DeSales. Looks like the game between them and CAL was monumentally important for both teams.

Can you tell us more about how the brackets stack up with home field advantage, etc.? The winner of the DeSales bracket could be battered and bloodied by the time they reach the state finals.

Middlesboro still very beat up, not sure if they got any of their kids back yet or not...a Healthy Middlesboro is a dangerous Middlesboro!

Somerset beat up could get 1RB back for playoffs but I think the one that has had most of the carries is still out...Jumpers played one very uninspired game this season which is causing them to play all of their playoff games on the road...tough to win 4 in a row to get to BG tougher to win 4 in a row on the road in the playoffs!

Danville, the toughness seems to be coming back that had been missing for the Ads...some explosive play makers but probably a season away from make much playoff noise.

I brought this up in another thread a while back, but I am still confused. In District 4, let's say CAL, Desales, and Bardstown all win in first round (along with Glasgow). Does Desales play CAL or Glasgow in Round 2?

Well it's no secret...the state champ will come from the west.

Middlesboro may be a little underrated if they haven't been fully healthy but are now getting there.

DeSales will play Glasgow if they both win first round

And CAL is waiting for Bardstown if they win

My understanding is that several linemen have been injured this season and in the game with Somerset they played two QB's...Somerset also was 2RB's short and DB/LB short...not sure if they have got any of there linemen back yet.

I would have a hard time taking Somerset 3 spots behind Glasgow after the beating the Jumpers administered to the Scotties. The top 4 look good.
