Top 25 Teams In Kentucky Regardless of Class

Featured Replies

Even if you want to just list the top 10, do that, but regardless of what you do, you should rank at least 10 teams if you want your rankings counted in the weighted averages.

As I've been doing for the past bit, I'll do a weighted average of our user's polls and the Cantrell rankings to see what we can come up with.

We can't agree on anything. We may as well be Senators and Congressmen

Right now, my top 10 would be:

1. Bowling Green

2. Male

3. Trinity

4. St. Xavier

5. Manual

6. Highlands

7. Simon Kenton

8. Scott County

9. Johnson Central

10. Covington Catholic

I would have Central in my Top 10 if not for their loss to Doss. John Hardin, DeSales, and CAL have decent cases. Belfry might be the Beast from the East if they can beat Johnson Central. Mayfield has a case for a top 10 spot as well.

I'm sure I'm leaving someone out, but I think there are a lot of teams who could make a strong argument for the #9 and #10 spots.

This is not getting easy thanks to the 6A cluster mess

1. Bowling Green

2. Highlands

3. Scott County

4. Male

5. Trinity

6. Manual

7. Simon Kenton

8. Boyle County

9. Johnson Central

10. St. Xavier

11. LexCath

12. Central

13. CovCath

14. Anderson County

15. Mayfield

16. McCracken County

17. CAL

18. DeSales

19. John Hardin

20. Belfry

21. Dixie Heights

22. Pulaski County

23. Caldwell County

24. Conner

25. Campbell County

That one is entertaining to me because it ranks Male and Scott County's strength of schedule with Scott County coming in at 3546 and Male at 2500 even. Both of which are well below Simon Kenton, who's SOS is well below Highlands @ 541 and Trinity @ #9 SOS.

The strength of schedule differences for CovCath and Simon Kenton goes to my point about why I'm not so sure it is cut and dry who #2 in Northern KY is.

But we are 10-0, which makes SK better than CovCath. Afterall, you are what your record says you are.

But look @ the SOS for Scott County as well if you're going to make that argument against SK the same can be said for SC as well.

...said Louisville before they played Central Florida.

Only an accurate statement if everyone played the same schedule.

At this point, I think there's a small gap with 1-6. BG has to be #1 right now for sure, but with all the 6A (Louisville ones, not SK) teams and Highlands, it honestly could be listed anyway. Personally, I'd have Highlands behind them, but they certainly made a case to be above a few with a close loss in the pit.

Funny how the Birds show as #1 in these lists but none of the Bird fans on here have ever staked a claim at No. 1...We truly are humble.:stop::angrybird_13::angrybird12:
