Yeah, I tend to agree with you. Honestly, putting SK ahead of Highlands borders on comical. No, actually it doesn't just border on it.

 

Way too much being put into a late season game after they rolled up a 41-7 lead.

 

A game as people who attended it though also said, Highlands could have easily lost. With that being said, a healthy Highlands team is definitely better than SK right now. But at the same time, many of the Highlands faithful are really underselling SK. This is a pretty good team, and they've beaten every team that was laid in front of them. That's all we can ask for. How good is SK? We'll find out when they play McCracken, Scott Co., or possibly one of the Louisville 6A teams. If SK does pull it off though, and somehow even keeps it close, I think UK#1 will be feeding out crow to you guys like crazy.

I probably should have clarified, but when I put in the "keeping it close" I was more or less implying the Louisville 6A teams. As far as Scott Co. or McCracken, yeah I agree. No moral victories there for SK at all.

For the N Ky portion of this poll I can only hope for three things to happen so the rankings can become more clear:

 

1) Simon Kenton to play somebody.

2) Highlands defensive backs and linebacker to get healthy

3) CovCath to get healthy at all positions.

 

Only then will these three teams be slotted correctly in the top 25.

I'd have Boyle higher than Johnson Central seeing as how Johnson Central's best opponent was likely Belfry and Boyle defeated Anderson County, Warren Central and Lexington Catholic but the good thing about the playoffs is that it is put up or shut up time so I'll just bide my time until it is put up time.

I'm saying it's hilarious for a fan of a supposed top team to serve crow for keeping a game close. Of course, we're only talking about a single fan of that team so it's possible but what it would really reveal is that the fan never really felt his team was really a top contender.

 

Now, since you want to go and compare scores, what do the CC scores between HHS and SK tell you? And those were both actual games, not a game and a scrimmage. How about SK>Conner

 

Me, I don't think there's snowball's chance SK wins but I'm for anyone to beat T since they're tied with HHS in most state titles. If it's SK, great! It will make for a great offseason since I don't follow basketball or baseball much and politics will be boring until late spring.

It's funny, but I actually think nature would have taken it's course with SK this year and the entire NKY community would have backed them as an underdog. Several still will! It is a great story if you didn't have SK fans shoving it down your throat on here since preseason. In fact, I work with several SK alum and I tend to update them on how SK is doing. Meaning that off this board, I actually get excited for them a little. But when I turn into Hyde on this board, I can't wait for them to lose! It doesn't take long to turn into Hyde after reading just a few posts. And It's not alway just UKFan. Unless he has other handles!
