  1. Talked to my daughter today who is away at school. She said she can't wait to come home and go to a CovCath game and eat a Mary burger from Gruber's Grill. Well trained and what a testament to Mary's burgers. She does not miss us, she misses the burgers.
  2. Tune into one of the biggest games of the year as CovCath takes on 35th District rival Holy Cross. The game is Thursday (4/12) at 5:00. I understand this is not a district seeding game, but still an indication where the two teams stand in the quest for that number one seed. Click here for the link to the game.
  3. So 1B is a single, 2B is a double and 3B is a triple and HR is a home run and add all those up in my head and those are the total hits? Got it.
  4. Old Guy, can I ask a stupid question, why don't you have a column in your stats for hits?
  5. I think he meant both sides of the ball, offense and defense, for Louisville. Not over a UK player.
  6. Pitino mentioned all the guys coming back. If they are so good, won't some enter the draft?
  7. Jay Bilas tweet: Whole lotta charges called in this game. Most, if not all of them, were blocks. The charge/block call is out of control.
  8. I know I'm sensitive to this kind of stuff, but Jim Nantz acted like he was at a funeral when the game ended. And the two charges on MKG were two of the worst calls I've seen in a while. Totally changed the game.
  9. UK did win the game right? I mean I respect Louisville for their efforts, but can we please talk about some of the UK players that played in this game? Miller carried the entire state of Kentucky on his back. Davis proved he's the player of the year on the biggest state you can play on as a basketball player. By far the biggest sporting event this state has ever seen. UK gets the bragging rights for a long, long time.
  10. They've worn them since he passed away. Kids came up with it.
  11. Did anyone pick up on Pitino slamming UK by saying outside of this kids being born this was the happiest moment of his life?
  12. Coach of the year Michael Bradley and former UK Wildcat coached Summit Country Day in Cincinnati to a state title today in Ohio with a 53-37 win over Portsmouth. Congrats Coach Bradley!
  13. UK is the first game at 2:20. Jay Bilas just said Kentucky is better than he thought they were and he thought they were the best team anyway. I think IU had two choices slow down and zone or man up and play a track meet. Kentucky said you want a track meet, you got one, we'll beat you either way. Whether they win 60 - 54 or 102-90, a win is a win, does not matter how they do it. This game does show what a difference Davis makes in the game as he turned IU from a 3 point shooting team to a dribble drive. I would say I was nervous for a bit, but NEVER doubted they would win.
  14. Classic Dragonfire, thanks for the assistance.
  15. I wonder what a Wildcat eats? ---- "about 202 pounds".
  16. CovCath played on Saturday morning in 2004. Knott County Central shot 81% (13/16) the 2nd half. Not sure I've ever seen that.
  17. Do you people ever think that UK makes it the toughest bracket?
  18. When you're the overall #1 seed nothing should even remotely scare you until the Final Four.
  19. I feel the reason Boone won was due to the ball handling and free throw shooting of Pitts. Controlled the entire tempo when they had the lead late.
  20. They are of no use to me if they don't fight and rip each others heads off.
  21. I'm getting it from all sides, my wife, who knows more about the game than I do, said the exact same thing. Ok, I stand corrected, there are two MVP's. Ellie was incredible with the way she shut down Crittenden. I'm sure she did a double take under her bed last night to make sure Ellie was not there.
  22. Everyone for NDA played well, but there's only one MVP per game and that was Rehschulte. When Hannah Thelen got in early foul trouble, this girl came in a picked up the entire team. Every basket she made was huge. You could sense a Ryle run the entire 2nd half and it seemed Jordan would cross over and get to the rim. They had no answer for her. That being said, the straw that stirs the drink is Chandler Clark. I'm more impressed every time I see her play. She's probably in my top my most intense players I've ever seen play. Never takes a play off. She's like a gnat that just won't go away. She gets the ball up the floor and blows by people. This is a nice team and Boone is going to have their hands full. Coach Levandusky can coach her you know what off. Nicole vs. Nell, get used to it NKY.
