I'm happy in the library, heck I'm happy anywhere. What you don't want is to have do move during the broadcast. Internet radio is a little different as there is not money involved like there is with regular radio. To have them move during their broadcast because coaches did not trust them behind them is unheard of. Not while I've been doing this.

I'm a radio guy and don't know much. What I hear from people that know the game they say the way to beat HHS is double tights and run it down their throats. Well guess what, you're going to see that for 4 quarters by the best back I've seen in 5 years.

I believe ThdOldGuy is referring to the way the JC radio team had to move from behind the HHS bench to the library 5 minutes before the game after they had been on the air for quite some time and even completed their pre-game show already. These are the nicest most trust worthy guys I've met in the business. It has nothing to do with the fans and how they were treated. You know what they say about paybacks.

J.J. Jude is the best I've seen since we've been on the air. That being said, we gave up 450 yards rushing to a guy and still should have won the game. Two huge missing pieces not yet talked about; the ankle injury to Gabe Gray limited their ability to run the ball as he had a monster game last year, and the broken arm suffered by Dan Gregory last week, our leading tackler. The Colonels had to throw the ball more and the more they did the better JC got defending it. All that being said, this came down to a few dropped passes and the onside kick. Until the onside kick, the biggest play of the game was Jude's fumble on their first drive as it gave CovCath an extra posession. The intentional grounding on our own 3 yard line on the last drive sealed the deal, having to go for it on 4th and 22, and another dropped pass or they would have converted on that. Thanks to the JC support staff, the best in the business. The hospitality towards us was top shelf. There is nothing I'd like more than to have the opportunity to repay you at our place some day. The fact that J.J. Jude is a junior puts even more pressure on the Colonels to beat Highlands next year and secure the #1 seed and make the Eagles travel north on a Saturday morning. Either that or find another year of eligibility for Sam Flynn. I can't believe I'm awake.

Look, I'm never, ever looking for "you guys are the best announcers ever" kind of comments. If you found out what was going on in the game eventually, but maybe you came in right after we gave the score and it takes a few minutes for us to give it again, thems the breaks. To please people that are blogging scores, I could care less if you get the score every few minutes. One thing to remember when it comes to us discussing off topic stuff. We do not have live stats to go over every break in the action and we don't have commercials like a radio broadcast. That is aa huge advantage to not have to talk non-stop for 3 hours. Try it sometime. When we had live stats, it changed everything. Losing Rusty Schilling was huge like we knew it would be. As always, if you don't like it, go to the game or don't tune in. It's so simple.

And ProudEagle is a good man. Can't wait to see you again on Friday.

Sorry, but Grandma Baumgartner comes first. She had her personal nurse send us an email that giving the score too often sends her heart into de-fib. I always like to go back and check the update threads to see if there was something written by someone that we've ticked of for some reason. You never seem to disappoint. You were getting the scores from Ashland radio, no need to check us out just to rip on us. When it's out of hand like that and all the subs are coming in, we feel the need to give them their props and we stop giving the score every 5 seconds. I'm sure you feel entired to the score, but you can't handle the score! Son, we live in a world that has internet radio. And those broadcasts have to be announced by men who have other jobs. Who else is gonna do it? You Birdsfan? You, NamecipS? We have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for not hearing the score and you curse the announcers. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not doing what we do, that not giving the score, while tragic, probably makes someone else's day. And our existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, makes someone's elses day...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want us on that radio. You need us on that radio. We use words like professionalism, integrity, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent giving the score. You use 'em as a punchline. We have neither the time nor the inclination to explain outselves to a man who listens to our broadcasts we provide, then questions the manner in which we provide it! We'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, we suggest you pick up a microphone and go on the air. Either way, we don't give a darn what you think you're entitled to!

And be sure to not make the "mistake" and listen to us Birdsfan. Would not want to bore you with our chit chat.

Now come on Old Guy, even you are smart enough to know that the Colonels scored 82 points combined in the two games that got them to the semi-finals and it took 2OT to score 40 against St. Henry. They are also replacing 4 starters off that team. This Colonel team will go as far as a point guard will take them, just like every other team in the 9th region. If the Colonels can get the ball up the floor and get good point guard play, they will be tough to beat. Unfortunately for the Colonels, that position is still the biggest question in Park Hills and has been ever since Mitch Shover fell ill.
