The CovCath "O" should be thankful that the "D" played so well tonight. The "O" had I believe some five turnovers that either resulted in a Campbell TD or gave them great field position. The "D" saved the game as they stopped the Camels on a fourth down attempt with less than two minutes to go as the Camels were driving for the go ahead TD from I believe the 15 yard line.

 

Congrats to the Camels on a great game tonight and hopefully the young man (#4) that the ambulance took to the hospital will be fine.

These are 2 very good frosh teams. Both have great athletes at the QB position. Should be fun to watch going forward. Hope everyone came out healthy!

 

Go Birds...Beat Colonels!

As I stated in the prediction thread, this game would be won by less than a TD. Some Observations.....

 

For the Colonels, Dressman and Pope are studs. I was surprised by the speed and running attack that Bir brought to the team. He's an athlete as well. I apologize in advance if I'm sleighting any other individuals, but those 3 stand out along with the D-Line for the Colonels.

 

As for my Camels, let me start off by saying hopefully #4 Alex Howard isn't seriously injured and the ride to the hospital was just a precaution. A couple of props....

#58 Austin Richardson had some key tackles on D in the 4th Quarter to help the Camels stop the Colonels and return the ball to the Camels Offense for the final drive.

 

#45 "Mr. Opportunity" Stewart Knaley was in the right place at the right time twice and scored both times. He also can kick the ball!

 

#8 Avery Wood played nails tonight on Defense delivering some huge jaw shattering hits and directing the offense and his hard running.

 

#10 Garrett Geiman had 3 tough catches in the final drive, 2 4th down catches for 1st down.

 

Good luck to the Colonels on Saturday. Both of these freshman teams and the one from a few miles North of Alexandria will be fun to watch over the next couple of years!

Yes it will, assuming they progress which of course often doesn't happen.

5 turnovers will do that. IMO, these two teams are not as close as the score showed. Comparison of their games against Highlands bares this out - unless Cov Cath happened to have the game of their lives against Highlands, and Campbell their absolute worst.

Campbell definitely played the worst game of the season against Highlands. Were you at last night's game??? What did Cov Cath show that puts them in another echelon?? Campbell was -13 yards from you posting that CovCath should've beaten Campbell.

 

I look for Highlands to open up the wood shed and invite the Colonels in. Highlands will win Saturday by 4+ TD's going away! GO BIRDS!
