CovCath senior Pitcher Adam Shumate signs today with Hanover College. After many hours of mulling over multiple College offers that included Centre, Bellermine and Thomas More, Adam commits to Hanover. I love it when good things happen to good kids. Adam, good luck to you in what I'm sure is going to be a very successful pitching career.

Lighten up Francis. Henley left Holmes around April 20th and Booher was named Head Coach on May 17th. What makes you think CovCath is any less serious about naming a replacement than Holmes who took 4 weeks? They will name a head coach when they are good and ready. Thanks to Coach Mike Listerman for asking me to be the first ever play-by-play guy for Covington Catholic. Words cannot express my gratitude for bringing in a Holy Cross/Thomas More guy to the CovCath family. Coach L is a great friend and he will be missed more than people realize. One thing I learned as we traveled the state; Coach L is one of the most respected coaches in the Bluegrass than anyone I've ever seen. His record speaks for itself. Under Coach L, 5 regional finals in 8 years with 2 titles and a final four. Going to be tough to top that.

Did they lower the basket instead of using a ladder for the players to cut down the net like they did for the girls? Strangest thing I've ever seen. Was this a liability issue with kids on ladders? If that's the case, another example of the need for tort reform.

How about Andrew Schult with 16 and wreaked havoc on defense?

Last game was 37-17 at half time and Ryle outscored CovCath 55-44 in the 2nd half. I mean 99 points in a half are you kidding me? Which half shows up for the Colonels Wednesday. Schult will help limit a 55 point half I think.
