  1. Guess CovCath should stop practicing in air conditioning and eating bon bons during two a days. We'll see how tough they are when the rest of the GCL throws over 500 yards against their secondary. I mean c'mon, little old untough CovCath threw for almost 200 yards in the first quarter.
  2. Just when I thought there were no more ways to answer questions about just how good Highlands is. Yet, we have another winner. Can we just agree that Highlands is very good, have been very good for a very long time, and will probably continue to be very good?
  3. TOG, I appreciate what you're saying, but grown adults that would risk serious health issues attending a sporting event that they on the own choose to go to is insanity on their part. They need to think of their health first and not watching the game.
  4. The heat has affected my reading abilities. And Auburn not losing is also not helping. My apologies to FATSNBUL. Amazing how not seeing one little word can change things.
  5. Not sure if it was injury or heat. He had two fumbles and CCH recovered the 2nd one. He had 11 carries and 2 catches.
  6. Berger #37 for LaSalle, I think sought after by Northwestern, disrupted a lot of what CovCath wanted to do on offense and Leahy #69, possibly headed to UC is a beast. Best two defenders CovCath will see all year. The wide receiver #10 Kief I think is like 6'-6" was a huge match up problem for the Colonels.
  7. Scout is 100% correct, the KHSAA has a heat index rule, no gray area. There was no doubt in my mind that it would not be completed. The fumble at the LaSalle 6 on first and goal for the Colonels that was returned to the CovCath 45 was a huge play. As was the punt return for a TD for LaSalle. As was the first kick return of the year against CCH to the Colonel 45, as was the blocked punt at the Colonel one yard line after starting CCH punter was out with an injury. CovCath outgained LaSalle on offense 267 to about 257. Bir threw for 226 and almost 200 in the first quarter. Capano for LaSalle for threw for 79 on 8 for 15. LaSalle ran for 160 and CCH held to 41 and 20 of those came on the last 45 second drive when LaSalle was in prevent. LaSalle was better, but not 31 points in a half better. Bir's only pick of the year he was trying to throw it away and is slipped out of his hand and was tipped and then picked.
  8. I've always had great football experiences at Campbell County. And one of the best concession stands around. Friday Night Lights.
  9. Please specify Clyde, that was NOT said on CovCath Radio.
  10. Unsung stars going into the game that are going to get people to stand up and take notice: Charlie Mader at WR and Nick Davis on defense was a tackling machine and played very inspired football.
  11. Lots, and I mean LOTS to be encouraged about on both sides of the ball. I'm going to go off the board and say one of the most impressive things I saw on the field was Evan Talkers put a ball about 5 yards past the back line of the end zone on a kickoff. He's going to have the leg to challenge Popham for longest field goal for CCH and that is 57 yards.
  12. Don't forget to click here for the game. I was surprised to see CovCath is 6-0 all time against Campbell County.
  13. Oh wow, spelling police in full force. Nope, different guy. It should have been "Kevin Connors", anchor on ESPN Sportscenter. He's moonlighting.
  14. Click here to listen to Mark Wehry and Kevin Conner.
  15. Any team that comes out bragging about winning a scrimmage are losers.
  16. What a great example of what in immeasurable heart will get you.
