Help! Could a moderator please change this to 8 to 2??? Sorry, I have not had my dinner yet.

So it was 8-2?

Yes. Beechwood with a 3 run home run and I think Cottingham followed it up two batters later to make it 6-1. I think that was the 4th inning.

I must admit that I'm glad for Dylan that he's done well at BW. I am not going to let an emotional and probably immature decision by a 16 yr old kid permanently label the kid as a problem like some have. Bob can play and is a great teammate. His CCH boys from the class of 2011 still love him.

Did Severson pitch?

Krumps playing Beechwood like a fiddle. He knows we are going to play Beechwood again and never showed BWD anything. Congrats to Beechwood but believe you me; Krumps knows when to hold and when to fold.

Krumps was also playing Lex Cath, Holy Cross and St Henry like a fiddle too, huh?

Playing Beechwood like a fiddle? Doesn't this make 5 losses in 6 games for CCH?......Or am I having a flashback to basketball season.

Has to feel good for Cottingham to have 4 RBI's against the team he was considered not good enough to play for.

I agree Hulk. What a joke they have over there in Park Hills to say that one of the best catchers in Nky if not, the best wasnt good enough to play for them. Congrats Beechwood, hope you play them again and beat them by double digits.

Cottingham had to have the greatest feeling ever as he was trotting around the bases.

I assume this is sarcasm, otherwise it just doesn't make sense. You think Meyerhoff has not been around long enough to know Krumps' tendencies? You think Krumps' small-ball style of play will catch him completely off guard? Now granted it is one thing to know what to expect and another to have your defense execute properly against it, but I hardly doubt Krumps was holding back anything in a district seed game of this importance. Sounds like to me that CCH fell behind by enough that it eliminated his chance to play small ball. Small ball is a wonderful thing, but is much harder to use when you're down 5 or 6 runs.

I was thinking along the same lines. How much can you hide in Baseball, especially high school.
