They already built a new weight room when they did the field at the new school site.

Some of those names is really confusing? I thought Madison Central wanted a football program? Madison Southern is bad, bad and bad. It looks as if MC will follow suit.

They started on it in early December and are suppose to be done with the school by Christmas of next year.

I spoke with Coach the other day and he was excited about the amount of kids that are freshman and soph.'s that have already started lifting with the team. Numbers breads competition and competition always equals more success especially if the kids have enough fight in them to always strive forward. Theres going to be some nice improvements in the kids next year just from simply being in the weightroom since Oct.

Who are some of the other coaches that have applied for this position?

Boyle was a good football team. They proved to be the best 4A football team in the state of Kentucky this year, no one can take that away from them. But to say they handed it to Bell would be getting a little carried away IMO.

Coach Browne does a good job of coaching offense but his teams have never seemed to play much defense. I am not sure if he is the right hire for MC. He finished 3rd in a pretty weak district this year.

Best thing for Franklin Co. to see Stepp leave. Although he has some close friends on here he is NOT a quality Coach that has been proven with his record against winning teams. He had some good years at Clay but he was getting his W's against the weakest teams in EKY.

Bell seems to be turning the corner and getting in basketball shape. They defeated Rockcastle on Tuesday and a pretty good Henderson Co. team today. Keep up the good work CATS.

I stand corrected I heard this morning Bell Co DL Billy Lawson is on the team. Not sure were the confusion came from? I think he will make a impact on the game. This is great game and ran very well.

I spoke to a buddy from up that area last night and he said he thought he was out? I hope that is not the case for young men on the team.

Mike Howard was 2nd team OL as well.

I think an offical list comes out sometime within the week? 1 thing I can't fiqure out is how is it a Border Bowl when you have players from Northern KY? They have an All-star game of their own. We should use this to promote and reward the kids of SEKY. We use sponsors from this area and should use players from the same area.

From what I was told they are starting to round into shape. Played really well at times, up by around 30 early in the 4th then subs came in. Congrats to the Cats on the first win of the season.

Pineville is not very good, neither is LCC. I have not seen Clay but I imagine they are pretty good. I know Bell's freshman beat Corbin at Corbin this weekend so that is pretty good as well. Anytime you can beat Corbin at Corbin in JV or Freshman your 5 must be better then their 7. lol I have heard the bunch from Harlan Co. are pretty talented. Should be fun when they get together with the young Bobcats.

I agree and I know we will both get blasted but I did not see him do much during the game either. He spent most of the time screaming at the officals or standing in the sun while the team was on the other end playing. Maybe he was getting a far away look at the secondary?

Great news. I really like the idea. Congrats to the schools for coming together. It is a win situation for all sides IMO.
