Easy now big guy. I am not making any downing statement on McCreary. Simply Bell did not look sharpe early. Did not takle well, did not cover well, did not take care of the ball, did not keep Watts contained and did not excute very well blocking. That are all signs of not being focused and ready to play. No way am I downing MCC they played hard and looked orgainized unlike years past and this game was somewhat closer than what the score showed. Bell had a 2 Freshman players go wild in the end of the game and score 3 TD's late. (BTW Bell is very rich in the skilled postions for the next 4 years) Boyle is still the clear cut favorite in 4A and it will take the game of a lifetime for anyone to knock them off.:thumb: Bell is very young and will be in the drivers seat next year IMO. :ylsuper:

Wow I would have not thought that but looking at the score. Rico could have a made TD or so difference in this game. Good win for KC. I look for them to travel to Lawerence in round 2 and win.

Will be a very fun game for the season finale. Harlan needs the win to clinch the district. Bell in typical Bell fashion don't want to lose to anyone! I expect it to be a very close 1st quarter with Bell pulling away if they play well. Bell manhandled Whitley, Whitley manhandled Harlan so that is some indication BUT the games always have to be played. Harlan Co. will be facing the biggest and fastest team they have seen all year. I expect Coach Larkey to go for the win early then pull the starters if it looks like Bell will pull away to keep them healthy for the playoffs. Should be a good atmosphere. New/Old rivalry, Senior night, district Championship on the line, Conference Championship on the line, will be fun!!!

Harlan Co. has got it going. I would love for them to win the district under almost every circumstance, except needing to beat Bell. I hope to see them advance in the Playoffs. I still have many roots and family in Harlan Co. love to see them win 14 games a year every year, with only 1 regular season loss.

Kinda of suprised by this score. Rock has lost some games to some very good teams and 3 of the loses were IMO mild upsets. (Pulaski, SW Pulaski, and Knox) I fully expect Rock to go in the first round to Rowan and win. #63 Abney is a very good player for Rock, hard nosed and never quits.

From what I heard about the game tonight Bell did not play very well. They need to get it going this week if they have any dreams of advancing far in the playoffs. Time to re-focus.

Sorry no no chance of game being called. 20% chance of showers at kickoff. Seems the heavy rains will hit prior to gametime in the late morning/early afternoon. Field will be a mess I would say though. Is that better? I hope everyone comes out healthy on both sides tommorow night and all travelers are safe as well.

I think Bell is playing pretty good right now. My money would be on Watts and Roark seeing limited time in order to save them for the playoff's. I think they have a chance at making their playoff game interesting.

:thumb: I agree. I was just playing to the myth that Bell is a mudder type team and want terrible conditions. I don't think that is true of this Bell team. As I had said I just hope both make it to that round. 2 very good and well respected football programs. :notworthy:

IF Bell and Boyle make it to that point I would think Bell would love to play on the Turf. They have speed at every postion. Granted McShara is fast but Bell has some boys pretty quick too. This is not the Bell teams of the 90's were size was the name of the game, this bunch can move.

I think Boyle has played a good schedule. Nobody thought Johnson Central would start out the way they did, so that should have been a very challenging game. Lafayette seems to be down compared to years past. Boyle can't control how the teams they play turn out. Typically JC, Lafayette, Danville and Rockcastle have very good teams, just happens all are down this year and that is out of the hands of Coach French and the Boyle program. I don't think building up confidence had anything to do with it, as I said going into the season on paper they looked to have a very good non-district schedule. When you are established power such as Boyle you don't need to build confidence but you do need to challenge them every week.

Marion is a team that is made for post-season. Good defense, run the ball well and have good special teams. I think they will make a push.
