This score really shocks me I thought that Marion would have beat them by at least 2 TD's or more.

I look for Marion Co. to be heard from in the playoffs.......Could Marion be playing Lone Oak in the region finals, or would they be playing earlier in the playoffs?(if no surprises or upsets occur)

Marion will get a tussle from Larue in it's district championship and I'm sure Western, Fairdale and Valley wont go quietly in the regionals.

Sounds like it will be some good football come playoff time, i will be keeping tabs on all those teams. The reason i had asked that question was that i had seen Marion play Bell and wasn't sure who would be in their district. Now i know. Thanks for the info.

I'm on the staff. We have speed and more speed, some size too to go along with a lot of experience. Kind of like a "poor-man's" Louisville Central. Our big snag is not being to play disciplined football all the time. We get looked over with our 3-4 record, but like Central we have played a very tough out of district schedule specifically to get us ready for the post-season. Losing close games to 6-A Male, Bryan Station and Butler and a very tough 2-A team in the season opener, DeSales. We finish the season at surging Ballard.

 

We have the players to make a "Central-type run" to December, or an early round flame out.

Yes we did, but had to "return" it.:cry:

 

The poor man's reference was to the fact we're not "on the radar" like Central. No matter though, it's not where you start, but where you end up. We're shooting for December.

Marion is very, very good. They have huge lineman who are athletic and can move, and just enough skill postion talent to scare almost anyone. Great kicker, too.

Marion is a team that is made for post-season. Good defense, run the ball well and have good special teams. I think they will make a push.
