HCHS Frosh Team

:thumb:Who has the best frosh team in the mountains?

HCHS BLACK BEARS have defeated Pineville, Clay Co, Letcher Central in the last two days by large margins. Seargent, Bond, Massingale, Brewer, Caldwell,

Boggs, Miracle, Dozier and at least two more players who I don't know, makes this group very deep with a bunch of potential!:thumb:

South Laurel and Knox Central should have really good freshmen teams, as Les and I discussed last summer or spring. Clay had one of the better JV teams at the AAU competition last spring.

The Black Bears have some good guards on that freshmen team.

Yes, the Black Bears will be talented.

I'm sorry I'm up north what school is HCHS?

Pineville is not very good, neither is LCC. I have not seen Clay but I imagine they are pretty good.

I know Bell's freshman beat Corbin at Corbin this weekend so that is pretty good as well. Anytime you can beat Corbin at Corbin in JV or Freshman your 5 must be better then their 7. lol

I have heard the bunch from Harlan Co. are pretty talented. Should be fun when they get together with the young Bobcats.

NL Freshman team is bad. SL beat them 50 points or so, maybe more. I am not sure what SL JV has done, I am sure that they win. NL JV beat them fairly easily though. NL first five are good players, but they are not very deep. They are 2-1 with their only loss coming in overtime at Lafayette after blowing a 17 point lead. These are the only 2 mountain Fresh/JV teams that I have seen.

South freshman squad is TALENTED and GOOD even withour Sanders playing for them. But Harlan County and Knox Central has just as good freshman squads, too.

Harlan County beat Knox tonight by at least 20. I know south has always had a good program. I think the 13th Region will be tough in the years to come.

HC freshman had Knox down by more than 30 at one point.

According to the paper, HC freshmen beat South Laurel last night.

Didn't SL make it to the finals of the 8th grade state tourny last year? How many feeder schools does South have or do they have a middle school?

Who is Sanders and why isn't he playing for SL?

Blake Sanders for SL and I believe he is playing Varsity at this point. He is the best guard in Central/EKY in that class. Some say he is the best in the state at the PG position.

So I am guessing he doesn't play in the freshmen only games? Thanks.
