Calvary will have a varsity team next year. Not sure if they will have enough to field a JV team, might be freshman and varsity only. With Beechwood moving out of Div III and into Div II, Calvary should be able to compete with all the teams in their conference (D-III).

Just wondering why are you playing at Augusta and Augusta is not playing? Let us know how Scott and Mason County look, I think they both lost a lot from last year.

Yes, he is a teacher in Grant County. I think the distance travelling to Brossart was too much for him.

Hannah is a junior and will be back next year. She usually works hard over the summer, so dont be surprised if she improves even more.

I believe Campbell County had at least 1 girl out the last meeting. I think it will be a tough game, but Campbell should win by double digits.

Hand checking was supposed to be a point of emphasis this year. I don't think the ref's got the memo. If they would call a game the way it should be called, the girls and coaches would adjust.

I heard they ran a box and chaser on her all night. Someone did a very good job guarding her. Surprised a school as big as Dixie, does not have another "go to girl".

Incredible job by coach Sheilds. He lost a lot from last years team and they still make the district finals.

I am sure it had to be tough on him. I think he has coached those girls for 10 years. He is a very good coach and a even better person.

10th Region tournament is played at Bourbon County this year. I would think CC would be one of the favorites to win the region this year.

Calvary Christian won a couple of years ago. Other than that, it has been the Bishop Brossart every year in recent memory.

My memory might not be the best, but when the tournament started in the 80's and was hosted at Regents Hall, everyone loved it. It is like going back to the original roots of the tournament. I would think the kids are excited to play on a college floor. I am not a Brossart fan, but I think you have to admire the way they have put forth the extra effort to make the tournament special. If it was only about money, I am sure they would make a lot more by going to CCMS. Why doesnt everyone take in a game and reserve judgement after the experience?

No axe to grind and dont know her or the team. Just wondering about the situation and if she was playing. There are reasons for allowing transfers(according to the KHSAA) and if it is one the of eligible reasons, she should be able to play. I hope the young lady was not lead astray by adults who have alterior motives.

Is the point guard that transfered from Mason County eligible this year?
