Scott really let this one get away from them. Tibbs and Stinson, Scott's two best free throw shooters went 1 for 5 at the line down the stretch, Tibbs missed an easy put back then picked up her fifth foul on the rebound with about a minute and a half left, and even then still had a 1 pt lead with under 10 seconds left, when they inexplicably shot a 3 from near their bench with a time out left. Brossart did a nice job on Tibbs, holding her to a season low (I think) 8. They frustrated her, kept hands on her the whole game, and she had a couple of those fouls called on her when she pushed back.

I am not surprised by this score at all. I hate it for the senior girls of Scott, Lauren Tibbs and Taylor Jackson. I am sure this was not the way that those 2 girls wanted their seasons to end. Brossart did what they had to do to win the game.

How about the girl shooting an inexplicapable three with five seconds left. All she had to do was hold the ball and Scott would have won.

Wow! Great job, Lady Stangs!

Inexperience...she's a freshman...not sure what she was thinking, maybe didn't know the score. She was right next to the Scott Bench...somebody should have been yelling to her to hold the ball or even a time out could have been called. Still,it should have never come down to that shot. Tibbs missed some key free throws and a few put backs...Scott could have easily been up 7 or 10 pts at that point in time.

Agree 100 percent, she is a freshman, and who knows what she was thinking. Lauren has done so much for the Scott Lady Eagles this year, had it not been for her for the most part, they would not have won some of the games that they did win.

It was also a freshman who had ice in her veins and sank the last two free throws for Brossart.

Congrats to the Lady Stangs on a hard fought battle and well executed game plan. Tibbs is a great player and will have a great college career!

Brossart is a team I would not want to draw in the region!

Tibbs is a great player but the Scott team was only 9 and 18. Brossart(19 and 8) is young and will be a force for the next few years. Hard to imagine Lauren Tibbs is done at the high school level but she has a very bright future in college. Good luck to her and good luck to Brossart in the upcoming District final and Regional competition to follow.

This is true. They don't play pretty, but they are quick, and aggressive, and play hard. They also have some girls who can knock it down from the outside. They will pester teams into a bunch of mistakes.

Region is wide open. A very young Brossart team gets the job done and holds Tibbs to 8 points. Gotta love that defense
