Nicole Kiernan, Newport Central Catholic: The sophomore center averaged 15.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game in helping the Thoroughbreds finish as All ‘A’ Classic state runner-up and as 35th District champion. Abby Owings, Simon Kenton: The sophomore guard averaged 13.8 points per game in helping the Pioneers advance to the semifinal round of the Eighth Region tournament. Very inconsistent. It has been that way all season long. I thought there were some really bad ref's in the 9th region, but I think the 10th could be even worse.

I would like to know what he said. He was not yelling or trying to show up the ref. Made no sense for that call, unless he said something really bad and I highly doubt he would do that. There should be a way to penalize ref's for making terrible calls like that during the games.

Would have to disagree with the statement that Brossart has more talent that Campbell. Brossart plays good defense, but Campbell has much more talented players overall. I think teams have figured out that if you handle Brossart's pressure and make them shoot outside, they will struggle.

I really dont know how they did not call a foul on that play. Someone on coach Code's staff had to tell him he had a time out left or he would not have called it.

I dont think any of the above are actually WV fans. Just stating a fact that the system is obviously flawed and WV is better than at least half of the teams in the ranking.

Walton won the one that counted. I am sure it was really hard for them to get up for this game. I am sure this loss will have them re focused on winning the 8th region tournament.

I think I would have to go with the coach of one the teams to beat him. Walton's Mark Clinkenbeard at this point should be the coach of the year in the 8th. New coach this year to a team that lost it's leading scorer from last year. They have played an extemely tough schedule and are playing very well right now.

Coach Arnold will have her kids playing very hard. I would be surprised if Grant wins by more than 15.

Grant County has a good left handed post player. She is about 6' tall and has a decent shot. I don't think Augusta will have anyone who can guard her. Grant County has young guards, but I believe they will have the advantage in this game.

In the past teams have been able to not play the district games during the regular season and just take the last seed in the district tournament. I dont know if any teams still do this.
