The number of students at Calvary have dropped since the days of Nick Benge and John VanDerMeer. From what I have been told enrollment is picking up, so maybe the new coaches will have a little more to work with.

The position has been filled. A new AD is in place and has brought a new coach with him.

Chris is a very good coach and would be great for the program.

They actually have a great coach! This is only his second year, so I would look for them to keep improving throughout the year. I think they will be very dangerous come 10th Region tournament time.

In the past, there has been the option not to play the district games and take the last place seed in the district tournament. I am not sure if that has changed in recent years.

I have seen all three play this year and would disagree with that statement.

This was voted on by the coaches, before districts started. So that is not the case now.

Agree with this 100%! I would not want my livelyhood to depend on the performance of high school girls.

Loaded with talent is an overstatement. They really had one player who played basketball year round and basketball was her main sport. Some other good athletes who played soccer as their main sport. Great group of kids, but they were not as committed to basketball as some other teams were in the off season. I dont think you can fault the coach for that.

Coach Feldman has done an outstanding job since he has been at Brossart. I dont think you can look at one game and ignore the other 3 years of work.

Yes, it was at BB. But it was only the 2nd game of the season.

Brossart came out extremely focused tonight and put it away early. If they play with that intensity and focus, they have a great chance to win the region.

The NKAC and Coaches association is made up of teams in the 8th, 9th and 10th regions.

That makes 3 straight loses and 4 out of the last 5 for Brossart. The next 4 are going to be tough as well. I am sure the tough schedule will eventually help them in the 10th region tournament.
