PP1 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Not a bad list, I would have thought another trimble player would have been on the list.
scon36 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I've had the privilege to see most of these girls play this season. Great job ladies!
cougarbball4and11 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Congrats to Hailey Ison from Walton. That is a very impressive accomplishment, as she is only a sophomore.
crazy8s Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Congrats to all - pretty good list for the most part. These teams are always tough as quality players get left off but hard to rate players that you never see. Due to the weather & so many upcoming region vs region games, I am a little surprised that they did not wait a few more weeks.
TripleSevens Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Congratulations to all of these girls! Especially proud of Allie Mills and Hailey Ison from Walton-Verona! Great job girls. Congrats to Coach Stewart on the honor of Coach of the Year. It is very much deserved.
FarBeyondDriven Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 Not a bad list, I would have thought another trimble player would have been on the list.I understand your thoughts. But, Trimble's success has been due to balance, unselfishness, and the ability of most of their kids being able to knock down shots. Hard to really focus on any one or two of their players on a given night, which is part of what has brought them success.
FarBeyondDriven Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 I should also mention that Coach Kerrie Stewart deserves a big congrats for getting her kids to buy in and believe. Anderson County head coach Tony Kays is also deserving COY, but he has fallen prey to his team meeting the already high expectations that where placed upon them, where Coach Stewart and the Raiders have exceeded expectations.

Anderson County head coach Tony Kays is also deserving COY, but he has fallen prey to his team meeting the already high expectations that where placed upon them, where Coach Stewart and the Raiders have exceeded expectations. This is no criticism at all towards Coach Stewart, as she has done another fantastic job with her Lady Raiders this year. However, AC Coach Kays has consistently been superb over the past few years, only to be left at the altar when it has come the COY award. He is an outstanding coach and good man who always coaches at a very high level. Too bad there weren't at least co-COY this year - and SK's Coach Stowers is pretty doggone good, too.
GC coach Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Good list. I've watched Gallatin a few times and Brooke is fun to watch. Also agree on coach Kay's. Good coach, man and has a lot of sucess. Congrats to the players and coach Stewart
Your Daddy Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I would take Eriel McKee at player of the year over Cann. Anderson can win without Cann, which they have proved while she has been sick. They cannot win without McKee on the floor. She can hurt you a bunch of ways.
blueandblack14 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Congrats to all that made the list, especially Michelle Roberts from Collins. This sophomore has a bright future!
True blue (and gold) Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Great article on Coach Stewart. Trimble County's Stewart voted Eighth Region Coach of the Year - The Madison Courier Daily Newspaper - Madison, Indiana - Madison, IN
