Great job PP92! One thing that I noticed though was that you said there were only 4 districts that still had drawing. I think that this may be incorrect. I can think of 5: 38, 39, 44, 54 and 55. I think there are a few more too. I'm not trying to pester you at all just something that caught my attention. Keep up the good work!!!! I have enjoyed all of these segments!!!

I think Holmes will take this one, but I do think it will be A LOT closer than the regular season game. It also would not shock me to see ND pull the upset. Should be a great game!!

Great analysis Just Jim, for some reason the Tribe came out flat last night and seemed to not be able to guard. Weird question, but could you give me the link to that website with all post season results?? I have seen you put it on here before and I was asked a question about past HC basketball that I can't seem to find in what I have and its driving me nuts!! Thanks in advance!

He usually goes to the State Tournament with my dad and I. He couldn't go last year, and he doesn't do Internet, so he sat in his cold car and listened to Lexington 590 am. He LOVES the game! His daughter was a tremendous player at Simon Kenton a few years back. I believe she even got a D-1 scholarship.

Covington Holy Cross has been 4 times. (1965, 1972, 1991, and 1994)

It was at Beechwood a few years ago which is about the same if not smaller than HC. It has also been at Villa which also only has seating on one side

It was actually 2004 HC beat Holmes in the District then lost to Dixie in the Regional 33 to 32

2004 was the last time, they have had some good teams since then and you know as well as I do that if they were in any other District in the Region they would be in the Regional 6 or 7 out of 10 years. It's just tough to be in a District with Holmes and CCH who are such powers in the Region and heck they have both even won the State now too!!

Beechwood's Chris Curley was picked up in the MLB Rule 5 draft by the LA Angels. He is now on their 40- man roster. Congrats Chris!

No in 1992 the alignments were: 33rd: Walton, Simon Kenton, Ryle, Boone County, Heritage, Conner, St. Henry, LLoyd 34th: Beechwood, CovCath, Holy Cross, Dixie, Ludlow, CovLatin (and maybe Villa Madonna) 35th: Holmes, NewCath, Newport, Dayton, Bellevue 36th: Scott, Highlands, Brossart, Silver Grove, Campbell County The 9th had 25 teams in it then wow!

You are correct as usual Statman! Covington Grant was the all-black school and was combined with Holmes in 1966/67 I think. The school still stands today, it is located at 8th or 9th and Greenup I believe.
