I know Holmes and Cov Cath have met in the finals of the 9th Region many times. Is there another district (pretty sure) that can boast the same thing? Please list another district that has had the two finalist from the same district besides these two. :sssh:

What a loaded District with the HC, CCH and Holmes.

Fleming County and Rowan County in the 16th. Oldham County and South in the 8th. John Hardin and North Hardin in the 5th region. Sheldon Clark and Johnson Central in the 15th. All of those schools met in both the district finals and now the region finals along with the 9th region final.

Has there been any other districts in the 9th region having their two teams meet in the finals besides CCH and Holmes out of the 35th.?

While Newport Catholic and Highlands have met before in the 9th Region Final, based on my research, they never have as members of the same district. Also, two members of the 36th district have never met in the 9th Region final (again, based on my research). More info in a near future post.

In the Region Finals, yes. Last time CovCath beat Holmes in the Region Tourney was in the 1995 semifinals 64-60 in OT.

Would have loved to have seen some of those Covington Grant vs Covington Holmes games. Where was Covington Grant at how was Covington split for those two schools?
