Very nice. I think the Rule 5 requirement is he stays on the 40-man for the year or he has to be offered back.

I believe he needs to stay on 25 man roster or be offered back to original team for $25,000

That is great. I always follow Chris and Luke Mailes box scores each day during the season. I love to see the local kids do well. I believe there are two types of Rule 5 drafts. If you are selected on the Major league one I believe you have to stay on the 25 man or be offered back. I think there is a Minor league one as well and not sure how that works. Either way, Chris has played well and hope he continues to progress further.

According to halohangout.com, that since he was selected in the AAA phase, the Angels do not have to keep him on the 25 man roster for the entirety of the season to keep him.
