Both teams are looking for a berth to the 9th region tounament. Holmes took the game in the regular season by 22 points. Tip off is at 8 after the Holy Cross and Beechwood/CovLat game. Who wins this game and why?

I think Holmes will take this one, but I do think it will be A LOT closer than the regular season game. It also would not shock me to see ND pull the upset. Should be a great game!!

I think this is a the toughest district game. Holmes is very good and did beat them fairly well in the season. However, if I remember correctly, ND settled down and made a little run or played them even in the second half. Holmes' "shock and awe" is very intimidating! But once you've experienced it and learn how to settle down, it may make this a little closer contest. With Hellman back too, ND is healthy at the right time and to your point...tested by their schedule. I also think there has been a blueprint out there for awhile now on how to play Holmes. The games they have played in the second half of the season have been much closer and I feel that's due to exposing them to some of their weaknesses. I think ND will try to do that.

Now to Holmes' credit...all they do is win. I've been very impressed with them as they have been challenged in the back half of the season. Early in the season, that was my question about them. How do they react when someone punches back? Well they have passed that test in my book time after time. They dig in and figure out how to win! That's what good teams do! And It seems like they've had different kids step up to make that happen...which is another good sign for them. I wouldn't ever count this Holmes team out until the last tick rolls off the clock.

I do think ND has the ability to pull the upset if they don't panic and use the template to slow them down. I still think Holmes wins, but I think it will be a battle and much closer than the last meeting. Definitely the most interesting match up in the districts for me.

I agree this is probably one of the most anticipated district match ups NDA has what it takes to pull off the upset, but Holmes is just to deep and playing to well Holmes by 10+

Been a long long time that NDA didn't make the Region. They should be healthy and ready to go but Holmes has that buzz saw offense. It is played at Holmes which is a real advantage because their fans will be out in force. Might be a good night to take in a ballgame.
