Next week Elliott County will play Mason County on Tuesday then Ballard on Saturday. Just got word of this and don't really know the details; someone help me out. I know that this is official and will be an exciting week in Sandy Hook; both games will be held at the High School.

I think that the district members are meeting on Wednesday...so I guess we'll know by then!

1. Holmes 2. J' Town 3. Scott County 4. Elliott County 5. Shelby Valley Yes, I'm putting Shelby Valley behind Elliott County because Elliott had an off night. They will beat them if they play them again...no doubt!

Eta you are for Holmes during basketball season and for Highlands during football. I will go out on a limb and say you were for the Steelers this past weekend and are a huge Florida Gators fan?

Great win for Shelby Valley and congrads on the championship ; you deserved it. I think that this could be an interesting turn of events for both teams (Valley and Elliott), if it all works out. Saying that Valley gets the reconition they deserve while Elliott gets put in the backseat. A flopped turn of events come March with Elliott being the underdogg; watch out.

Hopefully this will set the pace for a great season ending run. I hope that Elliott will respond to the loss; these next 4 games will determine their destiny. They need to approach these next four with hunger and desire. It's getting down to the wire and we will see how they respond with a loss. Lawrence County in the 16th and 15th have never won a Regional Title. I know the 16the regions has been dominated over the years by the likes of Ashland and Boyd.

I have been informed over the weekend that Chuke Williams has been diagnosed with cancer. I had the honor of playing for the legendary coach and hate to hear news like this. I haven't been able to see him yet but know that it is very severe. Please keep him in your prayers as he fights to win the greatest battle of them all.

A game that I will never forget sitting in the stands as a spectator; wish Lawrence County could remember what it felt like on that night. As a louisa native I wish I could step back in time and look at all the faces that made that night so magical. They are very important to what the program stood for and represented and wish that the people of Louisa would remember all the greatest that exsisted before. Today they have no memory or even references of what happen around that great field and school; not one name (except Ratliff), accomplishment, or trace of tradition is on the wall for the public to see. I still have the video of this game because it was one of the greatest of all time; will always have this great memory with me with so many more. Can't wait until the dogs restore their place in the mountains; Nick Meadows had one of the greatest runs all-time in Lawrence County football and was proud to be their to witness it. Gerad, Jason, Gordan Reeves, Charlie Vinson, Lee Ferguson, and the list goes on and on was all part of one of the greatest games in Kentucky history.

Refering to the argument about should there be 5 or 6 classes not on how the structure the class system should be.

If we ever went to the crappy WV and other 49 state class system, then we would have a never ending comparison. I would really hate to take away our distinctness because a team like Elliott will never be able to play a team like Holmes and the debate will go on for centuries about who is the better team; this way they can play head to head. Would you like to live the rest of your days arguing about who is the best knowing they will never play. In the case of "The greatest show on earth" if Elliott or Holmes didn't make it then they wasn't the true champion; plan and simple. It's great to truly know who the real and only state champion is. That’s what gives us Kentuckians the true understanding of what it takes to make and be a true champion. :banana:

Sorry was in the middle of typing and hit enter. I think that it is a shame that Chris Knipp was not on the all tourny team. I wish that he would have got rewarded for his performances, he done a great job.

Really was proud of the Lions last night. Way off my prediction, I haven't seen Rose Hill and expected more from them. They have a young team with alot of up swing coming in the near future. Happy to see the boys get another tough win. I think that it is a shame that Go Lions!!!!!!!!!!

Really don't know why you are such a hater towards Elliott County; I guess so you can be that guy? If you didn't like ONE performance from these boys then you defiantly need to come to more than just one game. Do you remember that these are just kids playing a game and I would hope you are a grownup and show some maturity? People like you make this season even more special because we continue to make you angry. It's going to get to the point where you will have to start your own forum because nobody will speak to you on here; because you talk like these kids are horrible people. You’re making a judgment call on personalities, sitting from the stands.
