Believe it or not, I just may be. The coaches probably don't get a good enough look to make assumptions about players from other teams. I have seen some of these mentioned players play, and some I have never heard of. And yes some of the nominations are a joke. Some of the coaches can't get it right on the field, so what makes you think they can get it right off the field? Bottom line if you're a kid who knowingly deserves to be on the list, don't pay attention to this political pet picking process. Continue to work hard and know that the only recognition that really counts is the recognition from your college letters of interest. Sell yourself, don't wait for this association to do it for you.

There are a few that are obvious picks, but there's some that made it just by name alone. How can you have an All Conference running back and not one of his key (the hole he uses to get most of his yards) O-Linemen make 1st or 2nd team........DUH. The voters don't have a clue!

You've got to be kidding if you think rebounding was not the issue in this game. Rebounding has been the issue in most of Boone's games because they just don't have the kids on the floor that have that instinct. Second chance points by the opponents, and missed opportunity for put backs on the offensive boards does make a difference. I don't see much coming from Boone if they continue to play this style of play. Yes, they have a nice group of senior guards, but they won't be able to ride that every game. NCC had one Big Man in Geisler and McCreary did nothing to go after him on the offensive end, nor did he allow a player with size to guard him underneath.

Wow! I hear he's logging more time on the floor than some of the seniors and all of the Juniors except for maybe T Montgomery. Pretty amazing considering Mcreary's statement last year that Soph's just had to wait their turn because of the amount of upper classmen.:confused:

Brown did pretty well for the time he was in. Got the ball down low, he either scored or drew some good fouls from the Raider defenders and as usual rebounded well. He also played great defense which has been his weakness in the past. Needs more time on the floor IMO.

I have seen Stauffer play many times, and he can be an offensive threat when you allow him to be. Boone played aggresive defense on him and contested a majority of his shots. Also Boone had more Big Men to stay fresh on defending him if needed. I think Volett played well last night in his position. The "if" word is the biggest two letter word I know, so I prefer not to use it as an excuse in deciding game outcomes.JMO

Earls has never really played a dominant inside game. The kid that should be banging inside with quickness and strength didn't see much time last night. Boone was out hustled for a majority of the game and once again gave up some key second chance shots by not rebounding. I too, expected to see more from Boone, but it's still early.

I too am looking forward to Brown and Montgomery finally getting some well deserved Varsity time. Those two have flown under the radar of recognition because of the stacked classes above them at Boone, but I believe both will open some eyes just as Stauffer has, once they're seen.

I truly don't see any reason other than mercy for kicking on third down. I prefer to get a linebacker into coverage and try to get the PI. Punting on third down seems to be :isurrender: IMO

If it's anything like the Rebels fans experienced last week (beyond the good ole fashioned butt whoopin), the visit should be great. St.X has a fabulous stadium and the hospitality was great. First trip down and I really enjoyed seeing the way their program is structured. First class all the way!

If you don't see the big deal, then you have a different perception of the game as what it means to play possibly your last high school football game ever. Even some parents of the underclassmen agreed that the seniors should have finished that game out in their base positions. For some of them, it's the last time they will ever touch a football field for competition. The game was well decided and if the underclassmen hasn't started to develop by the final quarter of the final game, then that's another problem, they'll get their chance next year.

True, but should have been on the offensive side of the ball. Boone stuck with him there all year, so why wait until his last game to remove him from the offensive side of the ball. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the big picture here.

Thompson pulled Alford towards the end of the 3rd qtr and in came his sophomore son to finish the game. IMO seniors should have been able to finish out their last game on the field regardless of who St.X had on the field. The stories that are coming from this program doesn't look good for the future. Boone has talent, maybe not St.X type of talent, but they have better than what is being put out on the field in certain positions. It's a shame that the kids have to suffer from the political nonsense of some programs.

I believe his last four quarters were against Boone and Campbell County, two of the lack luster defenses in the NKY region. Miles is an awesome back, and I believe to be the best in the state, but even as fan of good running backs, I wouldn't boast about running back of his class racking up yards against those two defenses. We all already know he's top notch.
