Daylen Hall had a fabulous game for the Tigers tonight. He took the opening kickoff back for a 90-yard touchdown. The Tigers scored again on Boone County's 2nd offensive play, when LB Jermiah Neal hit Quainroo forcing a fumble which DT Jacob Fields scooped up for another St. X. TD. After the Tigers forced a 3-and-out punt, Daylen then scored again on a 50-yard fly pattern reception on St. X.'s first offensive play from scrimmage.

In addition to these scores, Daylen intercepted a pass and returned it 42-yards, blocked two Boone County punts, and made numerous pass breakups and hard-hitting tackles throughout the 2.5 quarters he played at CB.

Being a Tiger fan, I was amazed by this overall performance. In an interview after the game, Coach Glaser said that they had just finished a regular season highlight DVD for the junior athlete to send to colleges for review. However, after tonight, he said they were going to re-do the DVD to add all of the thrilling highlights from this game. :thumb:

So X had the ball all of one play on offense in the first qtr yet led 21 - 0??

Yes Clyde, 21-0 after one offensive play. It was 28-0 at the end of the 1st quarter and 42-0 at halftime.

You ARE a Ryle fan, aren't you? Look forward to seeing you next week.

What does a team like Boone County, who refuses to throw the ball, do when they fall behind big early?

Ball control doesn't really help in that situation.

X smokes Ryle next week on their way to the state championship. They're comin' for you also SK. Nobody touches X from NKY.

I honestly have doubts if Boone will every be "Boone" again. With the addition of two new high schools in Boone County (and more on the way) since the Alexander era, I really think the talent level in Boone County has been "watered" down to the point of mediocrity. Boone, Ryle, Conner, Cooper, ?????, will field decent competitive teams but I don't think they will ever field a state champion ever again. Just my opinion guys.

If X rolls through their region, what makes you think they will beat Trinity in the finals....history???

There never was a state champion from there to begin with. Boone got close, but that was it.

In 6A(4A) you are correct but Conner won a title in 3A.

(Somewhat tongue in check, and possibly an apology to begin with) I thought the private schools were reponsible.....and yet another reason to separate them.

In 6A(4A) you are correct but Conner won a title in 3A.

But truthfully, how long ago was that? Early 80's?

Yes 83. But what does that matter I was just simply stating a fact to correct an earlier post.
