  1. Matt Wolford is a Junior lineman that played all night on the Tiger Offense as well. It's about time the Tigers learned it's ok to get these kids some game experieince rather than sit for a whole year.
  2. Tenza will be the only one of the bunch to possibly see the field Saturday if healthy. Smart move by the Rocks to get him some work.
  3. Trinity's JV is made up primarily of Sophomores this season. Yes, Fredricks did start a Varsity game out of necessity. He has served as Kragthorpes back up his entire career and had never started a game at Trinity prior to that game. Noe a sophomore, was also pressed into action as well as Coach Beatty felt he was a better option than Fredrick and was waiting for Kragthorpe to heal from turf toe. Tenza has not played since being injured three weeks ago so is it a crime to get the kid some reps? Trinity also played a sophomore at center last night that has started three varsity games at guard. He's being developed as a future center starter. They also played a sophomore tackle that played significant minutes Friday night. Is it a crime to get these kids game experieince? Again JV games are about developing talent. With that said, the Tigers who also played several Juniors, played a great game and showed the young Rocks they don't beat teams based on what you did in the past. That lesson might play out as well Saturday night. Go Rocks!
  4. We'll show up and give it our best. Revenge? They always have revenge on their minds this time of year. :thumb:
  5. Nice job Rocks! Beatty keeps tweaking the offense. We'll be fine in the end.
  6. I'm not giving up on this bunch. They have played the toughest schedule in Trinity history to date. They are young and beat up but they will be there in the end.
  7. X is much better than Elder. More physical and has speed to burn.
  8. The Rocks have had the upper hand on X with kids in the last two classes. Congrats to Male!
  9. Whipping Manual is not a huge accomplishment considering they are very young and a KY public school. I would like to see Colerain play X or T before declaring them in the same league as the Big Boys in Cincinnati, Elder, X, Moeller. Colerain is in the second tier.
  10. St.X has the beef up front to match up with the Bombers and apparently the speed as well. It's a major step up in schedule from their first few games but at home, they have a legitimate chance. Good Luck Tigers, we Rocks will have our own hands full that night as well!
  11. The kids are excited about the challenge. They played each other as Freshmen with Elder winning by a couple TD's. This team has learned alot about playing larger athletic kids from their Moeller scrimmage and have made steady improvement. Our offense will need to move the sticks to keep the Defense off the field. Can't wait to visit the Pit again. Go Rocks!
  12. You only get better by playing the best available competition. Trinity looks forward to the challenge.
  13. Just feeding off the tone of alot of Tiger fans.
  14. Hard to tell with x. Their varsity was playing today as well in Indianapolis at 1:30. Young Rocks continue to impress and will help with depth on Varsity by mid-season.
  15. We'll take the victory and keep putting the pieces together. The next two weeks are going to be brutal but we'll show up. Let the Tigers keep thinking they have the total package again this year. Go Rocks!
  16. Trinity should win but as of 7:12 Monday night my kid is not back from practice so I don't know Brads status. This team has played two teams from out of state and have not faired very well. It's hard to tell at this point if it's a lack of talent by the Rocks or our traditional slow start. Hopefully the offense will find it's beat this weekend and give the defense a little rest.
  17. The Rocks have a long road ahead but I think this team is ready to show what they can do. Good Luck Rocks!:dancingpa
  18. X by 4-5 TD's. I haven't seen a Lexington Team compete against X or T the last two years.
  19. Practice was brutal yesterday. They are making corrections that only this scrimmage could have revealed. This team is going to grow up real quick!
  20. I think he just needs to loosen up and play ball. Too much thinking and not enough letting the game come to him. I agree he has the coaches and system that will make him better by playoff time.
  21. Trinity has been trying to get them on the schedule for several years.
  22. Trinity took the opening kickoff down the field but QB Brad Kragthorpe threw the first of 4 interceptions on the night. He could have walked it in but pulled up and threw it right to a Moeller linebacker. Trinity held on defense and then turned it over again on their next possesion around the Moeller 30 yard line and Moeller scored again on a short field. Trinity had their opportunities but turnovers and dropped balls killed drives. The starters only played the first half. The 3rd quarter was played by second team and Trinity out scored Moeller 21-7. The 4th quarter was played with each team emptying their bench and playing 10 play series until the full 3 hours was completed. There was alot to be learned from tonights scrimmage that will prepare this team for the road ahead. I think the number 1 lesson was if they clean up the turnovers, they can compete with everyone else on their early schedule and certainly through their district.
