  1. Both teams have equal talent in my opinion. It's a game for the kids and who wants it more? Plain and simple.
  2. :thumb:Trinity is healthy as well and playing their best football of the season. We do have some young kids playing key roles but they are battle tested. Seniors still dominate this lineup and they know what it takes to win this game after being part of it for the past three years. No one is taking anything for granted and I believe it will come down to coaching in the end. Both teams will score points but I don't expect any forth quarter meltdowns like the previous matchup. History shows in the end the Rocks prevail.
  3. Regarding Commonwealth, We played there in the State finals back in 1976. We took alot of fans from my memory.
  4. I agree totally. Fans from across the state have been traveling to Louisville for years. It's about the game not the money the KHSAA will make. It will be fun to see how many fans make the trip. Trinity has always traveled well to Bowling Green for games with the Purples.
  5. :isurrender: I don't know they aren't human. Maybe Trinity will bring their kryptonite!
  6. Great win for the Rocks. Now the fun begins. Can't wait for practice this week.
  7. The Rocks have a tradition of Donuts and Hot Chocolate for the fans at 9:00. We had a big turnout of parents, fans and alumni to watch the team go through walk throughs and special teams. This never gets old. Go Rocks!
  8. :notworthy: It's his best team ever until next year when he say's it again for the 10th year in a row!
  9. I would have to say on paper: X T SC Greenwood With that said, the Tigers have all the speed and depth needed to take the title again year. Just ask their coach, they have been the best team the past 10 years. The question remains, can their coaching staff make any adjustments or are they going to come at T (if we both get there) with the same game plan as the first time they met. I can assure you Trinity will mix it up. There's a bit of arrogance about St.X fans. They seem to believe it's their God given right to win the Championship. They have all of the wonderful facilities, all of the alumni money, everything you would ever need to win title after title after title. Trinity on the other hand has beautiful facilities as well and strong alumni but always played the under dog role with a chip on it's shoulder and thrives on it. Our players have heard it all year long how bad they are and how good this X team is. It's a broken record played every year by the media and Tiger fans. All I can say is that if we are both lucky enough to get to Bowling Green, we'll be ready to take it to them. If we fall short, we weren't suppose to beat the mighty Tigers anyway.
  10. Looking forward to playing Scott County in an actual game this year after playing scrimmages the last few years. Go Rocks!
  11. Looking forward continuing the tradition of Thanksgiving donuts and Hot chocolate Thursday morning at Marshall Stadium and then welcoming Scott County next Friday night. The drive for 5 one game at a time!
  12. I was at practice yesterday. I assure you Trinity is not taking this game lightly. We'll be ready for four quarters.
  13. Although the Rocks were on the short end of the stick against both Elder, X and a scrimmage to Moeller, our boys learned alot from playing against these Ohio powers. I look forward to playing them for years to come.
  14. Wrong. We're not talking about Coach Leach, were talking about Coach Hiedleman. He coached our line the past two years and played for Trinity. He's now the Oline coach at LC. The LC game was their senior night game. They came out pumped and we were flat. Another lesson learned by the Rocks. Winning by huge numbers every week isn't always the best way to enter a ballgame and think it will give you a State Title. I can gaurantee you the Rocks will respect Male and give them everything they have.
  15. doubledeuce, obviously you haven't been to many games this year. The passing game was ineffective leading up to the St.X game mainly due to Brad Kragthorpes turf toe issues. That's no longer the case, T is throwing the ball very well at this time and will carve up Males secondary and open the running game for Derrick Bishop and Xavier Thomas. Trinity 28 Male 10. That's being generous.
  16. I don't get too caught up in uniforms. I'm more concerned about performance on the field. Beatty keeps adding ingredients to his soup kettle.
  17. I look forward to playing another quality Jefferson County opponent. This is always a tough matchup but Trinity is hitting it's stride and focused on the big picture. Rocks 28-10.
  18. And the all yellow St.X wears does? Please talk about ugly.
  19. Why Black uniforms? Because Addidas donated them. That's right, they donated the pants, the jerseys and T-shirts for the entire student body. All Trinity had to pay was to have them screen printed. You probably won't see them again this year. But the black pants and Green jersey would look good.
  20. I ran into his son at last weeks game. He is recovering at Frazier. I believe he had to have a pacemaker put in.
  21. We've been plugging in the pieces all season. Whether they are Sophomore's, 4 of them now starting or a Freshman phenom in James Quick at receiver, it really doesn't matter if they are the best at their position. X beat us by approximately the same score last year it really didn't matter when we played the second game. Should we both make it through to the finals and if you think that first game means anything this time around, you're in for another long day. The difference between T & X, we're busy preparing for this weeks game. X is already countng on winning the Ring. It doesn't work that way.:thumb:
  22. I really don't think Commonwealth will ever go to Field Turf being in the SEC plus being the State namesake team with Bluegrass being one of our states themes. I know the turf is not Bluegrass.
  23. Oxnard. Keep it coming. I know by reading yours and Papa's posts that the Tigers are just too fast and talented for us this year. Where have I heard that before? This team is much different than the one you faced a month ago. We won't look past Shelby County.
