Scott County 16 Henry Clay 13

Featured Replies

Looking forward to playing Scott County in an actual game this year after playing scrimmages the last few years. Go Rocks!

I wonder how this will play out? Does Scott have the tools to get it done? Can we muster one more big win, to get to BG? Man, I just don't know....see ya Thanksgiving.

Was this a huge upset ?? Seems like the HC posters on here were pretty big on themselves. Shocked to see this score.

Congrats to SC. They made the plays when they had to, many 3rd and long situations and they torched HC's secondary. The game came down to a 4th and 6 from HC'S 11, with 3 min. in the game. They threw a fade for the winning score.

No it wasn't a huge upset.

Since I may be the only poster on BGPrep who follows Henry Clay, let's clear up something regarding your statement that I was "pretty big on themselves". Henry Clay has a lot of fast and quick skilled position athletes. Most of them are underclassmen. I never indicated that this team was a world beater.

Scott County had the right recipe to beat Henry Clay.......keep the ball away from them. Their last drive for the game winning touchdown was a 19 play, 84 yard drive in which they controlled the football for nearly 10 minutes. They converted three 4th downs in the drive. Great execution by Coach Jim McKee and Scott County!

Henry Clay has a ton of talent coming back next season. It will also be experienced talent. I hope they can put it together a little bit better next season. There was never any impression given that they were the team to beat this season by this poster.

I thought that comment was a little odd as well. Especially since you are the only HC poster I know, and we've developed a nice rapport with each other. Next year, HC will be a nightmare for many teams, I could almost see us meeting each other in the postseason, and I think it would be there again....me no like that!!!

Scott County suffered several injuries in the ballgame last night including two apparent knee injuries to a couple of bruising fullbacks that did not look good as they were taken off the field.

Scott County's offensive game plan will be to keep the ball away from Trinity's passing attack. I just don't know if they have the horses to do that, especially after some of the injuries they have had.

I like Trinity. It is late in the playoffs and again, the Rocks are rollin'!

^ I can't lie, I'm much happier about playing Scott County....over the last 5-6 years I feel we should know their game plan.....and I know they don't have the athletes that HC has....that makes me a happy guy. Mainly I am happy that Kragthorpe is finally hitting on all cylinders right now.

I saw where young Kragthorpe was 16-19 for 283 yards and three touchdowns against Male.

This is again setting up for a Kentucky 6A all-Catholic final with number 1 St. Xavier and an improving, hitting their stride late Trinity team.

The only thing different is you all will have to go to Bowling Green to play it out. Might be worth the trip for a football junkie who loves good high school football.

Congrats to Coach McKee and the Cardinals!

Congratulations to Scott Co.

After so many years of scrimmages against Scott Co, I'm happy to see us play a game! I think these two teams should know each other pretty well, and I'm sure it's going to be a great game!

If we're lucky enough to make it....please come join us.....it would be blast to wax football face to face.

My apologies - meant no slight or disrespect. Maybe it "just seemed to me that several posters were talking about HC - and skilled and fast players. Also seem to recall some comparisions maybe between the SK - X and HC games. My bad - "Oldtimers":D

Congrats on your season and sounds like you will be a team to be reckoned with next year.
