  1. Coach Glaser is a good man and as he says, is really all about the kids. I think he has earned the right to call it quits when he's ready to go. With that said, I'm hoping he's there until my youngest graduates from Trinity in 8 more years.
  2. Actually having the stadium available for a Friday night game is not a problem. The issue was scheduling Saturday championship games. X & T will draw the largest crowds for the playoffs and continue to make the most money of any school in the state. Thank you very much KHSAA. :ylsuper:
  3. Are you serious??? My son was a starter on last years team. I must have missed the free coupon offered the last 4 years. :irked:
  4. And unless I am wrong about playoff money, T & X will split the revenue for themselves which is my point. KHSAA doesn't reap their reward until the finals.
  5. How does Louisville Central continue to be the only Louisville school in 3A when you have schools like Waggener, Doss and Atherton in 4A?
  6. Money is money and since the KHSAA doesn't make a penny on the rivalry during the regular season, they just eliminated this revenue period. As another poster said, the rest of the state teams will be playing for runner up every year versus every other year as it is set up now. I guess that's a victory in the KHSAA's opinion.
  7. If trying to eliminate one of us is all you want, the KHSAA did it's job. If reducing their revenue stream in the State Championship was their goal, they succeeded here as well.
  8. Interesting how St.X's troubles this year mirror Trinity's last year. The difference, Trinity has much more talent waiting to see the field. It could be another three year run. Here's to 20,21 & 22!!!!!
  9. You got to remember Glaser is all about the kids. He doesn't take advantage of teams he has already soundly defeated. Right! I think it's time for old Mike to take the high road for a change.
  10. This game has grown in attendance due to strong alumni bases and 50 years of tradition. We do not have to apologize for anything. Stong alumni bases in public schools is something that was crushed years ago in Jefferson County with busing.
  11. I wouldn't count on it. If it was going to happen, this was the year. Fortunately for T, the young Rocks don't care about being young. They are playing like Seniors.
  12. You act like this happens every year. We had 40+ Seniors last year. It will make it even sweeter to nock off the Mighty Tigers with Sophomores and Juniors with a handfull of Seniors in key roles. This could be the Tigers last chance to get back to back titles. Based on what we've seen so far this week, Trinity is set to make another 2-3 year run. :ylsuper:
  13. Great game for High School football in the state. Every year I see fans of many schools from outside of Jefferson County in attendance. It's a great atmosphere with tailgating like a college or pro game hours before the game to the huge crowd in the stands each year. Hate us if you want, but Keep it Real just sounds a little envious to me.
  14. Will be there with members of our 5th grade team. Never to early to start the brainwashing!
  15. I think this will be the tightest game in the past few years. X has alot of Senior leadership while Trinity is very young. However, I'll take the young Rocks 21-17.
  16. The JV game was very interesting this year. X has always complained about the amount of juniors we play in this game. The problem with this years Varsity team is the amount of Sophomores that are playing key roles on that level and don't play JV. I would say the gap is not closing, it's only getting larger. It could be a sweep for the Rocks this week but don't expect Beatty to bring his broom. :thumb:
  17. Trinity by 14 and Bob Beatty won't tip his cap or use a broom like a certain coach on the X sideline.
  18. The players might have graduated but the Head Coach remains. I will assure you Coach Glaser will get his payback. The difference, Coach Beatty won't resort to tipping his hat or break out a broom.
  19. Maybe not the most talented Elder team compared to the past few years but a great test for the young Rocks. Great Game!
  20. T's Sophomores and Juniors are going to have a difficult task as they step up in class the next couple of weeks against the Ohio powers. Take your licks now and grow from it.
  21. They are so young but talented. We could be looking at #20, 21 & 22 in the making. Go Rocks!
  22. I have been fortunate to be able to watch some games from them. They are air conditioned, have their own restrooms and have catered meals during games. I would say that's pretty luxurious for a high school game.
  23. Trinity's current Senior class struggled as Freshman and they lost most of their players going into their sophomore year. As they have progressed alot of players found themselves wedged between a stronger group before them and arguably the most talented two clases to ever step foot on Trinity's campus. Beatty has been salivating over the current Junior and Sophomore class for two years now so the writing was on the wall for alot of these kids. Most of this class just moved on to other sports, baseball, lacrosse, wrestling or just being a student.
