Big key to the game was Hightchew's defense on Burger. While in man to man he was in Burger face and phyiscally dominated Burger with his strength and quickness. Burger did not get going until the zone allowed him some freedom from the outside. Burger were able to penetrate against the man defense and dished off often, that all changed in the second half.

Of late, HC cannot throw in in the ocean from outside, that includes Avery. If HC cannot hit from 3 it will be a very close game. However, HC is very deep and Beechwood is not I will take HC by 5.

Beal is playing heavy JV minutes he has had 1 good game but has struggled in the others. He is a great athlete but shooting % is not great currently.

Maniacci played almost all the JV game, must have had 25 as he was at least 6 inches taller than all. He moves much better this year, he looked good. In the Varisty game he picked up 3 quick fouls and was not a factor at all.

Yes he does along with Callery the Holy Cross Starting cather both Sophmores this year. HC has another Sophmore form Bluegrass Buzz, he was their best Hitter last summer.

HC girls to be without Beal today as she was on a crutch at the football game last night.

This rule was used last year when a sophmore without varsity time transfered between private schools late in the basketball season. He was ineligible to play basketball and baseball last year at the new school. He is completely elieligible this year as a junior

Holy Cross will be better than last year but doubtful they will be good. The two best Freshman (Beal & Avery) will not see much if any Freshman time. They do have some size and a young Pouncy that will play for the freshman.

The kids from Cincy did not get in to Holy Cross, rumor has it that they are either Crusaders, Eagles or Camels. I have not heard yet.
