Boone County/Holy Cross Predicitions At Holy Cross 12/06/2010

I think Holy Cross wins this game they always seem to have a good team!

Boone's height advantage and overall athleticism will be the difference.

Boone by 10.

Should be interesting to see how Christian McClendon does in the new system.

I think you need to read up on your hoops buddy.

Holy Cross has a few talented players but are very young and lack size which Boone Co definitely has throughout their lineup. They have nobody that will be able to hold down Trevan Brown and the way 6'5 McQueary has been shooting it will be a long night for the Indians. Crabtree is 6'8 and Montgomery at 6'4 has yet to even get going struggling in his last game.

HC isn't young. I can think of at least 4 seniors that will start or play major minutes. Two juniors.

While they're not nearly as big as Boone they do have two 6'4 kids in the lineup.

Holy Cross can run and gun they are a good shooting team.

Boone by 20. Possibly more if they want to. No one in NKY can stop Brown.

One on One is hard to stop Brown and if they double down Boone has other key players that will hurt you just as bad. As long as this team remains unselfish, and everyone plays their role, they should be difficult to play with. Crabtree is coming in to play now that he's getting comfortable on the court. 6'9" with improving skills is definitely going to be hard to stop.

The key for HC is to pressure the perimeter players of Boone and not allow them easy entry passes. And then they have to block out like their lives depend on it.

In addition, they need to be effective offensively so that they can get into a press D. Boone is big but they're not constructed to handle the press.

HC to be missing 3 players at least 1 starter in this one.

Look for Boone to win easily here.

What happened? Is there a bug going around?

The same AAU team that cost 3 Cov Cath players their first game against Montgomery County

So the main contributor missing is Burger. The other two are not starters. I don't see this having a major impact. From my understanding HC is not running the same offense as last year plus they have some new players.

Same base offense but with a much quicker pace looking to run

:confused:I am a big proponent of AAU but these guys that cost these kids games and put schools behind the eight ball are the one of the reasons that AAU is a four letter word to high school coaches. Happens every year it seems. Just because it's a dumb rule doesn't mean you shouldn't know it.:taz:

Not trying to stir the pot here, but how is Mcclendon eligible to play at HC this year? Didn't he play some varsity minutes for Holmes last year?

I truly am not trying to cause a controversy I am simply surprised that a kid transferring from a Public HS to a Private school less than 3 miles apart was ruled eligible by the KHSAA.
