Congrats to Desales on a good game. They are a good team with some good playmakers. This is not your normal John team. They are very much a work in progress, especially on offense. Line play is a big issue right now. This was a good game that came down to the very end. John had two fumbles,an interception, and a punt return TD called back in the first half. It was still a back and forth game all the way. John was down 5 with 39 seconds left with first and ten on the 23 yard line. They completed a pass and the receiver fumbled the ball at the three that went into the endzone recovered by Desales. That ended the game. Good,competitive game the entire night. Desales just made more plays and controlled the line of scrimmage for the most part. I will be looking forward to watching their team the rest of the way. Congrats to Desales on a good win.

The schedule on their website has them scrimmaging Louisville Seneca on Aug 23. Did they change it? Any idea when/where they'll scrimmage Warren Central and Paducah Tillman?

I've never been to a game that didn't have a "game clock." Were you meaning a "play clock?" If you meant play clock, yes it's followed at the state championship games. During the regular season, it's kept on the field by the officials. It's difficult to say if it's strictly followed on the field or if the officials allow an extra second or two, however, there are plenty of delay of game penalties.

Accoring to Joe Reedy, they have to average 89% of the salary cap over a four year period. That doesn't mean they HAVE to spend it every year. I assume they are going to spend heavy with Atkins, Dunlap, Johnson, Green, and maybe Dalton. Joe Reedy ‏@joereedy As I continue to say, its not a year to year thing. At first, I was okay with resigning him if he was moving back to SAM while also serving as a backup Mike if Burfict was injured. But keeping him starting at Mike AND paying him $3.5 million per year is a head-scratcher.
