  1. I agree. It's much better than Papa Johns, which is way too big. For the fans, there are plenty of great seats to watch the games. My brother and I go every year to watch all of the games, and Western KY is a much better atmosphere.
  2. I'm a John Hardin fan, but I really feel bad for Iroquois. They outplayed us, but just couldn't get it in the end zone except once. John's one and only score came on fumble returned for TD. The offense had about 5 or 6 lost fumbles and just couldn't get any sustained drives. Iroquois played well, but fell just short. A win's a win though, and we'll take it. Hoping tonight was just an off night and we get it back together next week.
  3. Final. John Hardin won 24-6. Nice game by the Dawgs.
  4. Going to the John Hardin/Bullitt East game hoping the Dawgs can pull out the upset.
  5. Yes, they are wearing the black jerseys and black pants tomorrow.
  6. These may not be the most influential, but they're my favorites and it's my mountain. Aerosmith Led Zepplin Queen Eagles
  7. John Hardin is very young and injured. At one point during the game against Iroquois, I counted 6 Sophmores, 3 Juniors and 2 Seniors on the defense. This year and next year will be some growing pains, but the Sophmore and Freshman class is loaded.
  8. They have reached the 85% mark and it will be televised live locally. I guess the doom and gloom was to gain ticket sales as someone suggested earlier in the thread.
  9. I agree with the prices at the stadium and parking. That's way too expensive to expect people to spend that much money every week. That's why we eat before we go. Usually my wife and I will park at the Levee for $3, eat at the Hoffbrau Haus and have a beer there, then take the bus to the stadium for $1. I refuse to pay $8 for a beer and however much the food costs there. We'll take a couple bottled waters with us to drink at the stadium. No money spent at the stadium.
  10. Thursday is the cutoff, but if they are close to selling out (or in this case 85%), they can ask for an extention. The twitter quote in the first post is from the Bengals Ticket sales rep who says they aren't even close and expects a blackout.
  11. I must just be lucky. My wife and I had the wi-fi the entire game. It worked great with no issues. So I haven't had the "dealing with the drunk idiots," and my wi-fi worked perfectly. Lucky guy I am.
  12. Sorry to hear that. I've had season tickets for the past 9 years and love the game experience. You can see so much more of the field, coverages, etc. than watching it on TV. I've never had one incident that made it a bad day (except for the losses). Sorry that has happened to you though. A few bad apples can ruin the whole bunch.
  13. (2/3) If u live w/in 75 miles of Cincy & want to view #TENvsCIN I would advise u to order tix. The game is not expected to air on local TV. Andrew Brown‏@BengalTicketGuy·21 mins (1/3) No, I do not. RT @Mulvone19: @BengalTicketGuy think we will reach 85% threshold for the next game? Looks like there's ALOT of seats The Bengals have been in the playoffs three straight years and are 2-0 this year. Why are people choosing not to go to the games?
  14. I must be an exception to the "Comcast is horrible" rule, but I've had Comcast internet for 10 years and have never had a problem. Not one. The only thing I've changed was for 9 years I was renting their router/modem (not sure which one). Last year I decided buy my own, and everything still works perfectly fine. I'll consider myself lucky.
  15. I agree with everything you've said Hoss. I go to all the JH games and have for the last several years. The is the worst team they've fielded since I've been watching, but as you've stated, we expected the down years. I'm having trouble figuring out why the o-line is performing poorly. I'm hoping they figure it out soon.
  16. Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals reach six-year, $115 million deal - ESPN
  17. I think it will be #6. I thought the reason he gave up 23 was out of respect for Jordan.
  18. Teaque Lamb Miller Randle Davis
  19. Like everyone else says, this is a great pick. Hopefully Kirkpatrick turns the corner and starts playing like the 1st round pick he is. I would not take the LSU QB at all. He failed a drug test at the combine and has been flagged by the NFL folks with injury concerns. 2d round pick will probably be an OL. They need some help there.
  20. 1. It applies to all Soldiers equally (officers and enlisted) (at least in the Army). 2. I can't link it, but if you google "AR 670-1" it will be the first one that comes up. The tattoo policy is located in Chapter 3, paragraph 3-3.
  21. A Soldier cannot have an Extremist, indecent, sexist or racist tattoo. Also, here's the language for the rest: Soldiers are prohibited from having tattoos or brands on the head, face, neck (anything above the t-shirt neck line to include on/inside the eyelids, mouth, and ears), wrists, hands, or fingers. Soldiers may have no more than four visible tattoos below the elbow (to the wrist bone) or below the knee. The tattoos in these areas must be smaller than the size of the wearer’s hand with fingers extended and joined with the thumb touching the base of the index finger. The total count of all tattoos in these areas may not exceed a total of four. There's more detail in the regulation, but that is the most important parts.
  22. That's difficult to say since he was the only coach the school had since it opened.
  23. UK/Reds/Bengals - grew up in Northern KY and they are the "home" teams. Notre Dame football - Dad was a Notre Dame fan (don't know why), so I followed them also. High School - spent 20 years in the military and rooted for what ever school my kids went to. When they were in grade school/middle school, I rooted for the high school they would be going to if they were older. Now live in Elizabethtown and my kids go to John Hardin, thus I'm a John Hardin fan. I also still root for all of the Northern KY schools since that's where I grew up. Pro basketball - I root for any team that has a ex-UK player on the roster.
  24. Italian man gets 6-month sentence over noisy sex claims - NY Daily News A 42-year-old man was the subject of a complaint by 12 of his neighbors, who said the loud moaning and screaming coming from his girlfriend during their sexual activity ‘disturbed the peace’ in their condominium. The man was tried for stalking and plans to appeal his jail sentence — and being punished for ‘being too good at sex.’
