We were just to fast for HC. Harness went over 300 yards with multiple scores. Our defense played big. Dline was aggressive getting to the Qb. HC was without Vinny Miller. I don't think he could have helped them much. My prayers goes out to the injured HC player and his family. I hope he is ok.

John Hardin won its 10th consecutive season opener, routing Henry Clay 56-6 in the Don Franklin Bowl at Lindsey Wilson in Columbia.

John Hardin totaled 489 yards on the ground, led by Jeremy Harness' 306 yards on 11 carries.

Harness, a 5-foot-8 senior tailback, averaged 27.8 yards per rush and scored on four long runs that covered 33, 53, 33 and 39 yards.

Quinsie Brown added a pair of TD runs and had 65 yards on seven carries.

Henry Clay's lone score came on a 61-yard run by David George.
