I don't know the guy or even where Monroe County is located but it looks as if this award was well deserved for Mr. Pettet.

Monroe County's record in 2007 = 2-9

Monroe County's record in 2008 = 12-2

Job well done.

Congratulations Coach French. :thumb:

Isn't Duece the 1st St. X guy to ever win it? CONGRATS TO YOU!!

Congratulations to Deuce. He has been a formidable foe for Trinity over the years. I find it hard to believe that, in all its illustrious football history, this is the first Tiger so selected (I think). At first blush, that doesn't seem right. I ask the X historians: who may have been deserving but was not selected? When was this award first given? Tendai Charasika was tough. Mo Moorman, Dicky Lyons, Rick Buehner.....? Who beat these guys out?

Wow. Congratulations Coach French!!!!!!!!!!! And thank you for restoring our swagger Coach French!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I'd like to see any of our Trinity boys win, I absolutely cannot argue with this choice! Congratulations! Well deserved, and hard won!:dancingpa

The Monroe County turn around is one of the least covered stories in KY football this year. Coach Pettet has done a tremendous job and I am glad he is being recognized with this much deserved honor.

I was in Tompkinsville last Friday night for the 2A semi-final and the atmosphere was fantastic for high school football. Congratulations!!

Congratulations to the winners, especially John Petett. I know John would give all the credit to his assistants and seniors, but he deserves this award despite what he says:D

The job that Jim Black did at Whitley County was just as impressive as anyone this year.In my opinion he deserves the award as much or more than anyone.
