Question for the fans

Featured Replies

When you school is playing a game that you are 99.9% they are going to get whacked big time in do you still go to the game?

Let's take that one more step and say your team plays that team or teams each year and they are never close in those games. How long as a fan do you keep going to that game?

I was fairly certain Beechwood would own us but I still drove the 4 hrs to see it

Yes, see Trinity vs SK. Shoot SK had more fans there than T did.

If you truly feel that you are defeated before the game even kicks off then you are defeated. Any fan with that type of mentality should just stay away from the program.

In a perfect world maybe, just maybe you think you can win every game as a fan but history really shows the true story.

If that fan truly loves the program in question, they should stay away. As far away from the players as possible.

Yep, it's about fan loyalty and the event

Forutnately, as an NCC fan of the past several year, there are not too many instance of knowing that the team will "not be in the game", but that aside, I would still attend no matter what I feel the outcome to be.

I know fans from a team here in Licking County are so sure there team is going to win that they skip a game or to each year just to see a good game.

I have done both in the past and as far as staying away from the team/players I am way to old to know any of them. So being there or not does not have any affect on them.

I have talked to several players from a lot of teams over the years and they all say at some point they knew there was nowway they were going to win a certain game and they knew there were games they could not lose.

I think players are a lot more smart when it comes to this then we, the fan gives them credit for.

You have to go to the game. Even if you have doubts, as long as they are playing there is that chance that something really special is going to happen! If you lose, again, it was supposed to happen, but if you win, WOW! That is some kind of feeling! (AND you don't get that off the radio. You have to be there!)

I believe in the Fort Campbell football program, but there has never been a time when I was 99.9% sure that they were gonna get whacked.

Later.

I cannot begin to tell you the miles I have wracked up over the past 5 years following a team that was/is brand new. Each game I went to and supported the boys on the field even though I was close to 99.9% sure of a loss. I have been around high school football since I was 6 yrs old and my brother played at Highlands, to me it is in my blood. Knowing those kids on the field and watching them grow kept me in the stands every Friday night no matter where they were. Now that my daughter has graduated, I spent some Fridays in Ft Thomas and some at my home stadium. I love Friday nights in the fall!

I agree with you 100% on this. It doesn't matter the miles or the outcome, you have to support the players and let them know that you believe in them.
