Thompson came out a half time and got out of the power eye that had worked the whole first half and went to a twin back field. Failed. Sk goes on a roll, Boone loses control of the clock. ??? does a coach for Boone even mention to the back that kept trying to run the ball 3 diffrent times from inside the 3 yard line when he catches the ball instead of lettig it go into th end zones so Boone didn't have to keep starting from inside the 7 yard line each time on SK kick offs in the second half. Then Boone is 4th a one on the 10 yard line, Oppenheimer just ran a 8 yard run, and Boone elects to punt the ball after Sk has been on big roll. Score was SK 34 and Boone 27 at that time. Boone is still in the game, muffed snap.1 yard kick, the rest is histoty. Sk on th 11 yard line going in, the rest is history. Sk deserves the win. What did Boone have to lose, go for the win, show coinfidence in your players, has to start at the top. The whole coaching staff needs to look at themselves and make the nesseary changes to give their team a chance. Don't keep blaming the offense, defense gave up the 42 points in th second half. I agree Cooper will win, not as strongly as night fan expresses. Cooper is right there and Conner is struggling. Cooper has been through the 6A teams now and has represented their program very well. They are ready for a team like Conner, have now payed their dues, Cooper may win this game big. Good luck to both teams.

Is Boone really that bad of a team? Ive been to a few games and they dont seem to me as horrible as everyone says! Oppenheimer and Brown are players the line dominated in the first half they had a receiver I've never heard of make some big plays for them last night! Everyone is right the talent is there!

33, I couldn't agree with you more, obviously you have seen more of Boone than I have, but the games that I have seen you are right on, Oppenheimer can carry the load, proven RB, BUT,get Brown the ball as you stated. The season is not over for Boone with some easy changes, Short passes if they have to be because of the QB size. Every thing to win, nothing to lose by trying. Rooting for Boone in upset.

I agree, all deserving players, IMO I think Oppenheimer from Boone deserves A lot of consideration for offense. Putting up good numbers under the circumstances.

33 your are right, Brown needs a lot more touches. I guess Boone wanted to control the clock, JOpp must of did his job. Does anyone know how many passes Boone attempted and completed?

Boone County started the season off beating Henry Clay at Henry Clay, beat Scott County at Scott, then had to play the one of the top rated teams in their area, Anderson Ohio,then Highlands, the next two games, came out with alot of starters injured not playing in the next two games. I will agree about coaching, but who are you to say they don't have the talent, the talent is there , Brown and Oppenheimer for two players , for starters with talent. Coaching may be a talent issuse, and I will assume that is the talent you were refering to.

I to have been to a couple Boone games, J. Opp is the real deal, shame he is taking a beating each game with in a system set to fail. From what I can see, Opp has good speed and run over people strength, BUT, if you can't pass the ball , again, the system causes the team to fail. I really hate to see any coach lose his job, but if you can't adapt your play scheme to the players talent you have and can't spread your offense out to keep up with the times, you are going to keep having the same results, it's time for a change. School administration needs to man up, at least talk to the coaching staff, ask what they think, cause the only ones suffiring are the kids, especially the seniors. I have also seen that to pound the ball play after play, you need strong line blocking, and to ths point Boone may have some big players, but they sure arn't getting the job done, no holes for the running backs to through 70% of the time. Opp, keep your head up, I'm sure you'll be playing ball some where next year. Good luck Boone the remainder of the year.

Boone should win this one but im not sure the way they have been playin.. The team who played Henry Clay can beat anyone up here... IMO

Boones line is just not getting it done up front right now, I thought Boone was going to be able to run the ball great this year with an experinced back they have, from all the games I've seen there weakiest point is up front. Until they can get pass protection and be able to run block the Rebels will be in for a long season.

I agree with your statement except for the athlete part, Boone has players that equal to HH standards and work just has hard as they do to prepare for the season, and play just as hard. These players are team players and do what the coaches ask of them. The system is what is what it is.

Cooper is making good strides in the right direction. Still will not beat a 6A team this year. No disrespect to the Cooper team, still having playing to many sopohmores on varsity. Good luck the rest of the season.
