I would be willing to bet you that this game will be very entertaining and physical. Especially after seeing Lafayette last Friday and knowing Bell Co's reputation. Should be fun!!!

I saw on KHSAA that North Oldham is looking for a new coach. Is Matt Walker out? Anybody know anything about this?

Remember Zack Osborne that played for PRP in 2008? He has been a 3 year starter at SS for the University of Tennessee. I can't believe he did not get drafted. Can anyone provide some insight as to why he may not have been selected? Just curious.

I don't want to sound mean or degrade anyone but I can't imagine Trimble, Walton Verona, or Henry making any noise in the region. Henry may have returned a lot from last years team but they had nothing to offer any of the other teams in the region. They do have great coaches over there but they just don't have the horses. I can't imagine them having the pitching or hitting to compete with an Oldham, Anderson, or Collins. Walton Verona has been down a while and had 1 good pitcher off last years team but I don't think they have a good enough cast around him. Trimble???? If they had 3 solid pitchers and a good hitting core they would have won this region or at least been in the finals last year. I don't know what Trimble has but if they have 3 solid pitchers and a good hitting core then they must have gotten them in from somewhere else because they had nothing the last decade. Again, I know that sounds mean but if you can offer me something to prove me wrong please do so.

I don't think anyone is claiming they will win it all. Just saying they have done a good job with building the program and they are headed in the right direction and the new alignment does help them.

Coach Peach has done a great job of building the program. He has done it the right way with hard work and accountability. He scheduled well and now has the program winning and has given them confidence they can play with anyone, which is evidenced by their performance against John Hardin. I think one contributing factor is that Coach Peach has been calling the offense from day one and he has a great defensive coordinator in Duane Hammons who has been on the defensive side of the ball since day one. Some of the other assistants have moved on but Coach Peach has always replaced them with quality coaches. Administrative support is there and if they keep following the same blueprint with the new alignment then they can definitely make some noise.

To me the X factor in this region will be Simon Kenton. They hit the ball well last season but lacked in pitching and they struggled defensively. I'm not sure what they have coming back but in a school that size it seems as if they could find at least 1 good pitcher. SK's district is pretty weak so I would be surprised if they are not district champs. If they could match up with an Anderson, Collins, or Oldham in a first round or semi final match up they could knock out one of those teams. They nearly beat Anderson in the opening round of the region last year. The only team that I can see being as strong as they were last year is Oldham. Anderson lost quite a bit of pop in their line up and a strong pitcher, Collins will be ok but not nearly as strong as last year's Shelby County team.

I guess he has already hired KYPREMIERE, he seemed to be in the loop and know everything Yeast did concerning every job.....

Last week we were told by a source that "knew for a fact" that Yeast did not apply and did not show interest in the Bryan Station head coaching position. Today it is announced that he is the new head coach at Bryan Station. Weird!!!

Well either you are misinformed KYPREMIER or LEX18 is wrong? I dont know which? All I know is that you say Yeast only applied for the Grant and Fairdale jobs. Yet LEX18 comes out two weeks ago with a story on the news and an article on the Internet about Yeast being a finalist for the Bryan Station job. I find it hard to believe that LEX18 would hype up Yeast being a finalist for the BS job the way they did if he didnt even apply for the job? Maybe BS approached Yeast and asked him to consider being one of the finalists without applying? I dont know?

Anyone heard anything about this job?

They announced on the news last night that BS had their 3 finalists and interviews were either this weekend or next week? I know 2 of the finalists were Criag Yeast and the Def Coor from this past season. I missed who the 3rd one was?
