  1. This seems to be a very evenly matched game. Should be an exciting one for a 1st rounder. Ill take Lafayette by a slim margin since they are playing at home. What do you think?
  2. Corbin has played both Hazard and LCA. What do Corbin fans think about the 1a playoff picture?
  3. I was very impressed with the LCA players' ability to get off blocks, pursue to the ball, and gang tackle. It was a dominating performance. If not for two seperate and warranted penalties on Fairview's scoring drives the team from Westwood might have had even fewer yards and points. If LCA continues to improve on this defensive performance they will make a lot of noise in the playoffs.
  4. I feel it really backfired on them. Fake swagger and enthusiam can blow up in your face when the other team isn't phased by the antics and hits you hard and often. The wind can leave the sails quickly. I think it just made LCA angry and it showed on the field.
  5. LCA dominated the game from a physical standpoint. Lots of hard hits and getting off blocks. I don't think Fairview has seen a rush defense quite like that of LCA. Fairview players kept getting up slower and slower as game went on. It also seemed that there was lots of jawing and finger pointing by the Fairview team when LCA took control. I was there about 30 mins before kickoff and Fairview wore their home uniforms and chanted all the way from LCA's gym to the field. A coach would yell "Whose House?" and the whole team would respond "Our house!!!!" I guess when it was all said and done it was LCA's house and again LCA's district. I hope #2 is okay. He was hit on a clean, but hard peel back block on a Scout McCamey scramble.

  12. What are the district standings, 1-4 in this district?
  13. LCA was up 48 nothing at half against Paris and did the same. LCA backups scored and LCA backups gave up a kickoff return for TD, like i said the Paris game is a wash, no matter the score. I just think we should make sure we have both sides of the story before people start crowning Fairview as favorites based off of scores. We all know comparing scores is fine for fans but if teams and coaches do it will put them in a bad situation.
  14. Fair enough, I just wanted to bring to your attention that LCA beat Nicholas by 21 and Fairview beat them by 8. That is one common opponent that Fairview didn't beat by more. LCA defeated Paris 55-7 and Fairview beat them by a score of 49-0, so that is a wash. The Raceland games, from the way you describe them were very similar, except Raceland had some costly 4th quarter mistakes against Fairview that allowed for the bigger winning margin. It should be a good game this Friday, and I look forward to watching it. Good Luck with Russell.
  15. Don't want to get in the business of comparing scores but you should check the Nicholas County scores out. And Nicholas got two gifts to start the game with a fumble inside LCA's 20 and a pick six within the first 5 minutes of the game. LCA also let the clock run out with the ball on the 2 yard line when getting ready to score again. Also in regards to aggressiveness, LCA plays a different style on defense than Fairview. Fairview plays man and pressures, LCA plays zone. I was at the Raceland and LCA game and from the view from the stands it looked like to me LCA left 21 points on the field. Im just saying, Fairview is probably better than years past and LCA, of course, is down some from last year but the game is at LCA. The polls may have Fairview ranked hiigher, but the power rankings don't and those take into account the schedules the teams have played. I think I will make the drive to attend this game. If LCA jumps out to a big lead I am wondering how the hired soldiers will respond? Heard when the game got tight with Nicholas Fairview coaches had to break up scuffles between their own players, is this true?
  16. Maybe Raceland isn't that good this year? Who have they beaten? They talk of Fairview's weak schedule but Raceland doesn't have a quality win. Maybe this year Raceland is adding to Fairview's weak schedule? Just a thought....
