There was no fight.... First there was a flag thrown on Fairview player and penalty was marked off. LCA was getting ready to snap it and ref from Fairview sideline runs in and decides to add his flag and include West in the mix. Then he huddles with the white hat and both kids are tossed. I think it is funny that whatever the Fairview player originally did didn't warrant an ejection and the penalty was marked off, but when the one ref decided to involve West both players were ejected. Being as the ref crew was from Pikeville and Hazard it sure seems fishy. For the kids sake I hope he can play. From what I have heard neither player should have been ejected. It wasn't a fight but rather a scuffle after whistle with playoff emotions running high.

What about Fugate, Smith, and Meighan. I know they were terrors on defense last year for Hazard. Fugate and Smith were really good Olinemen as well. Meighan was a nice target to have over the middle.

No, Ill either be at the Lex Chritian/Fairview game or the Lafayette/Scott Co game. You should def see a good game!!! Should be an exciting game with athletes everywhere!!!

Of the list the one with the best resume of building and turning around programs is Paul Rains, former head coach at Hazard, Montgomery, Madison Central, and LCA.

LCA has been hanging under the radar all year. All the talk has been of Hazard, Mayfield, Holy Cross, and Beechwood. They have gone about their business and improved each week on offense and the defense has played well most of the year. Raceland somehow spun the first meeting into thinking they were as good or better than LCA, that wasn't the case. Farley is a good qb and a gunslinger. He may throw TD's and he may throw interceptions, that is normal. So the turnovers were no surprise in the first game or the second game. Also, LCA had 14 penalties in the first game and Raceland had zero. Even though the Raceland fans talked of the points LCA got off turnovers in the first game they failed to mention the fact that LCA's one turnover came on the Raceland 1 yard line or that LCA failed to convert two 4th downs inside the Raceland 15. They also spoke of LCA getting great field position but they didn't talk about the one onside they got and converted into a TD. To me the first game was looked at with Ram colored glasses. I love how the Raceland fans support their boys, but spinning things into something they are not sets the boys up for panic when things don't go right in the opening of the game. When it is all said and done it was the same game just a different day. LCA moves on to regional championship.

West missed the Corbin game too, who knows if he will be back for this game. LCA battled Corbin without him and whooped Berea. For all LCA fans hopefully this absence has provided some young Oline an opportunity to gain experience and therefore when West returns there will be more depth. By the way what is on the menu for pregame dinner tonigtht, SidelineDoc?

From what I understand both head coaches tried to workout their respective schedules for the game to continue, but there were some conflicts on both sides with other games. Maybe after these 2 year contracts are up they can look at renewing the matchup.
