No, this Hazard team is loaded. I think LCA has definitely improved over the yr but Hazard just has too many weapons.

I think that they have a small chance but Hazard look awful good right now. I think that Hazard wins 42 to 14.

I would not count them out at all. Good coaching and good players. Not saying they will win but you just can't say they won't win.

With all due respect, silly thread Guru. Of course LCA has a chance against Hazard.

 

1) They're the defending champs. The defending champs aren't going to go down easy.

2) Games aren't played on paper they're played on the field.

3) These two teams know each other very well. Played in last four semi-state games . This will be the sixth game against each other in four

years.

4) HHS may have a home field advantage since the home team has won every game in the series. Although, Hazard played a very talented LCA

State Champion team to the wire last year in the Semi's.

 

This will be an excellent game. IMO, any team in the Semi's is fully capable of winning a state chamionship.

The chance that LCA has of beating Hazard is the same as the chance of Beechwood beating Mayfield or vice versa. In other words, I wouldn't count either team out. Should be a great game.

Hazard has an awesome team. And is a top three or four team. But any time LCA puts that uniform on and straps on those helmets. You have to respect them. And expect a fight till the end! This team has talent and is very well coached. This coaching staff is one of the best and makes great adjustments during a game. If they are down. Don't count them out!! So yes they always have a chance. Hazard will have to play at the top of their game to win.. And so will LCA!!!! No doubt in my mind that the four teams still standing are the best four 1A teams in the state! JMO

I fully realize that Hazard is loaded and has an excellent team. LCA certainly hasn't gotten this far by being a bad football team. I know that Hazard is and should be favored. I have picked LCA to pull the upset and advance. The Eagles are peaking at the right time and are playing excellent football.

p.s.......just ask fairview about going in vs. LCA over confident :sssh:, and they had lost to LCA just a few weeks earlier and to hear them talk were still reserving their spot in the Semi's and championship. Having confidence is one thing, that is needed but to go out and boast about it should be after the game, if then) JMO

Absolutely CLA had a chance. They are very tight group right now and they will be defedning that crown to the very end.

Ditto....that's why you play the game on the field & not on paper. Hazard is loaded, but that doesn't mean they're not beatable on a given night.
