Hazard has an awesome team. And is a top three or four team. But any time LCA puts that uniform on and straps on those helmets. You have to respect them. And expect a fight till the end! This team has talent and is very well coached. This coaching staff is one of the best and makes great adjustments during a game. If they are down. Don't count them out!! So yes they always have a chance. Hazard will have to play at the top of their game to win.. And so will LCA!!!! No doubt in my mind that the four teams still standing are the best four 1A teams in the state! JMO

 

Was very impressed by Hazard when we played them. LCA, if they can run the clock and shorten the game, as well as be very sure tacklers on defense, does have a chance, in fact a real good chance.

LCA did appeal. Not sure when the ruling will come down. LCA nor Fairview had the fight on their game film. Not sure if LCA found another film to present at the appeal.

There was no fight.... First there was a flag thrown on Fairview player and penalty was marked off. LCA was getting ready to snap it and ref from Fairview sideline runs in and decides to add his flag and include West in the mix. Then he huddles with the white hat and both kids are tossed. I think it is funny that whatever the Fairview player originally did didn't warrant an ejection and the penalty was marked off, but when the one ref decided to involve West both players were ejected. Being as the ref crew was from Pikeville and Hazard it sure seems fishy. For the kids sake I hope he can play. From what I have heard neither player should have been ejected. It wasn't a fight but rather a scuffle after whistle with playoff emotions running high.

With all due respect, silly thread Guru. Of course LCA has a chance against Hazard.

 

1) They're the defending champs. The defending champs aren't going to go down easy.

2) Games aren't played on paper they're played on the field.

3) These two teams know each other very well. Played in last four semi-state games . This will be the sixth game against each other in four

years.

4) HHS may have a home field advantage since the home team has won every game in the series. Although, Hazard played a very talented LCA

State Champion team to the wire last year in the Semi's.

 

This will be an excellent game. IMO, any team in the Semi's is fully capable of winning a state chamionship.

But don't the refs and the KHSAA make everyone play by the same rules? The ruling will only be changed if KHSAA says the refs made a mistake. I think thats the way it will work!! I don't see how LCA can play by their own rules. Don't everyone have to play by the same set of rules?
