Yes, Spalding is the one, word was it was going to take to much to sign him, he is also very committed to Western.

Remember Zack Osborne that played for PRP in 2008? He has been a 3 year starter at SS for the University of Tennessee. I can't believe he did not get drafted. Can anyone provide some insight as to why he may not have been selected? Just curious.

I know this thread is titled high school kids, but I will throw in that Cody Elliott from Beechwood who has been at Ball St. was drafted in round 21. Congrats to Cody!

Not sure. One went to Rangers but don't know if that's him. Wasn't there a Cox that played for Ark and went to Cards not long ago.

I thought Osborne would get drafted. He was hitting over .300 in the SEC. He would have more leverage this year as a junior; but i think he is the type of player, he will make his money by proving he can play on the field. His money may not come throught a signing bonus, but a future contract he might sign. I heard one scout say recently that some teams are paying "money to fail" to unproven players and their signing bonuses. Zach Osborne will be very successful in life. He could also make a very good coach as well.
