Just out of curiosity, why do you not factor in the AP polls? I personally think Cantrall's ratings are garbage, places way too much emphasis on school size and the name on the jersey instead of on-field performance.

This will get ugly early and then get uglier. Have a good friend that's an assistant coach at Morgan so hate to see them get whipped like this.

Give the edge to Garrard over Estill this season????? Maybe I read this wrong, Estill is 9-1 and ranked 3rd in 3A. Garrard might be competitive with Estill next season but don't think they could take the Engineers this year.

The ghosts of Robbie Wiseman, John Abney, and Tommy Covey will rise up to show the 'Neers how to rumble through that mud. :thumb:

I've got a question MB, now that you've seen both Somerset and Estill County play your Bears, what prediction do you make for Somerset at Estill first round of the playoffs?

Playing quality opponents and being competitive against quality opponents are two different things, I think Garrard's program is improving, but not to the point yet to compete with a monster program like Breathitt County. Would love to see an upset though to get Breathitt out of the path of my Engineers!

I would say Corbin and Fort Campbell in the finals, with my darkhorse being the Blackcats of Prestonsburg.

I agree, if Estill keeps going to work I really think it'll be a Breathitt/Estill rematch in the third round. First they have to take care of business and send the Briar Jumpers hoppin' back to Somerset. Go 'Neers!

Bath didn't play a killer schedule, but they did play Prestonsburg, Shelby Valley, and Fairview who are all solid teams. I agree though, they don't play a very tough schedule.

The sad thing is that the 1A district is much stronger than the 4A area district with Boyd, Lawrence, Rowan, and Greenup. Heck Paris killed Rowan who was either 2nd or third in the 4A district.

I know Ryan Williams of Clark County ran right through Montgomery for over 200 yards and I think broke 200 the following week as well. I think the Benedict kid from Estill also had some big games but don't have stats.
