Exactly, teams have to respect Arthur's arm and at the same time account for where Wilson lines up on offense. They seem to hum along a lot better with this personnel.

Lawrence County was 0-10 and MADE the playoffs. :scared:

I favor taking less teams in the playoffs which cuts down on the 0-10 or 1-9 teams getting hammered in the first round. I would like to see the top two from each district in the playoffs. Of course then you have the argument of better teams from stronger districts getting slighted for weaker teams in weaker districts.

Both are very tough districts, Johnson Central, Ashland and Bryan Station were all strong this year as well. Refreshing to see some good quality teams playing one another in the first round!

On a positive note they wouldn't be the first this season to have trouble stopping that running game.

You mentioned the feeder system, who are the coaches at Verity this year or last year for that matter? Strong basketball knowledge? A strong middle school program is a vital asset to a good high school program.

If Boyd uses the same personnel as the second half against Fairview with Arthur at QB and Wilson split out or in the backfield I like Boyd by 3 TDs. If they go back to Wilson at QB, Boyd by 7. Too easy to gameplan for Wilson when he's at QB, much more dangerous when he's running or receiving.

This is a great first round game, I'll say CCH by 7 in a shootout.

Whew, I don't see a tough game in the bunch there. Kinda makes you want to go back to the top 2 teams in each district making the playoffs.

I really like Estill's chances of a third round rematch with Breathitt County. Go 'Neers!
