With the six-class system Kentucky uses, a very few teams fail to qualify for the playoffs. Below is all 32 schools that didn't not make the postseason, all-time postseason appearances, all-time playoff record, and the last year that they did qualify.

How many of these were 0-10? I know Bracken Co. and Brossart were. If you go 0-10, you don't deserve to be in the playoffs in the current format.

I favor taking less teams in the playoffs which cuts down on the 0-10 or 1-9 teams getting hammered in the first round. I would like to see the top two from each district in the playoffs. Of course then you have the argument of better teams from stronger districts getting slighted for weaker teams in weaker districts.

How many of these were 0-10? I know Bracken Co. and Brossart were. If you go 0-10, you don't deserve to be in the playoffs in the current format.

Lawrence County was 0-10 and MADE the playoffs. :scared:

Montgomery County won one in 1969 back when they were Mt. Sterling High School.

All Indiana teams make the playoffs. If I am not mistaking the first round match ups are blind draw as well. I remember several years ago there was a winless team that got a first round bye and had to play the winner of Castle vs Reitz who each had maybe one loss.

Lincoln County has two AAA runnersup (1990 and 1993)

 

Paducah Tilghman has the following titles:

 

1973 AA Champion

1985 AAA Champion

 

1987, 1988, 1989 and 1992 AAA Runnerup

 

I may have missed something in my quick look at the records but I think this is correct.

Campbell Co is probably the best 5-5 team in the state and they didn't even make the playoffs.
