Middle school still plays. I think in a year or two the JV or Froshmore will more than likely get renewed. If I were Stoney I would wait another year or two. He seems to have the program pointed in the right direction. No need to rush it.

Not sure what happened with the Chargers secondary but they will have to be much better this week. Franklin threw for almost yards last week. The Charger offense is the biggest issue. The must find a way to move the chains !

Mercer has some talent, but no depth. Have less than 40 players. I think they are in for a tough year.

Well, as a Rebel fan and a BE Charger fan I was hoping the game would be a little more competitive. Was hoping for a hard fought battle between two good teams, but only one good team was on the field today. I hope the Rebels win another 14 straight and take home title number 13. Bullitt East has a very short time to fix their issues as they host Franklin County in 6 days. I thought it would be a pretty tough hill to climb to upend the Rebels but I sure thought the Chargers would muster a better showing than that. Oh well, back to work.

When the Lions started setting the edge in the second half that pretty much put them in full control of the game. I agree with @gchs_uk9, I thought it was a good start of the season for the young Lions. North, on the other hand, had one of the smallest defensive lines I've seen outside a lot of freshman teams. Might be a long year.

I ate horse a couple of times while in Kazakhstan. Was actually pretty good.

SW should win pretty big.

Okay, since I really don't want either team to lose this game, I guess I'm going to hope for a tie game late into the 4th that gets stopped because of lightning. Then the next day being Sunday and neither team wanting to drive back to BG, they will just rule it a tie.

BE picks off the Ballard attempt on 3rd and long. Chargers take over on Ballard 44. 7:25 3rd.

At the half, Ballard 10 BE 0 BE defense stiffened up after Ballards first drive and the busted coverage WIDE open 70 TD pass. The story is the Chargers inability to move the ball against Ballards D. I give Ballards D some credit, but the Chargers O has not looked good.
