BE qb gets hit out of bounds. A shoving match ensues, several penalties are assessed and somehow East gets the brunt of the yards against them. FC has it 1st and 10 on about the 38 of East.

I agree @Purple88. I've heard that they will play their last three games at home though. Will host Male for the christening of the turf on Oct. 17th, then Southern and ending the regular season with CAL at home also. Still tough.

Fern Creek makes the 7.5 mile trek to Mt. Washington this Friday night for the district opener for both teams. Bullitt East come into the game after their bye week with a 3-3 record winning the games they should have won and losing the ones they probably should have lost maybe except for Franklin Co. BE has lost their QB in games twice this year to injury but I think he's ready to go for Fern Creek. East has run the ball pretty well this year with the exception of the Boyle and Manual games. I think they should be able to run the ball this week. Although Fern Creek does better against the run than they do the pass so we shall see what the Chargers try to do come Friday. Fern Creek, because of their new field being built has played every game this year at their opponents' stadium. I think that's been tough on FC. They also lost their starting qb to be to transfer before the season started. FC has struggled to move the ball this year but plat pretty good D. I like their HC and think he does a pretty good job but this year has been a challenge. In season where I thought East should win by 3 scores or more, they didn't. FC ALWAYS plays East as well as anyone on their schedule. Maybe it's because the schools are only 7.5 miles apart. Not sure, but they always show up for this game, and I expect nothing else this season. These teams are 5-5 since 2001 with East winning three straight before losing in OT last season. I'll take East by a score.

Manuals run D is very good. Think X will have to be able to throw to win. Manual defensive front 7 is just tough to run against. Like Manual to edge X by a score.

Cartoons, a couple of bowls of cereal and then Memphis wrestling at 11 am. Oops, sorry, you mentioned 79 and 1979 popped in my head. I usually watch a couple more of the games from Friday night, Youtube or NFHS. Scan preps and KHSAA scoreboard.

I'll be honest, I thought X would bring a bigger crowd. It wasn't small, but I thought it would be bigger. Sideline was kinda quiet also. Players were playing hard, there was not a lack of effort by any means. Atmosphere just seemed subdued. It was a Boyle home game, I understand that, it just didn't have much of a big game feel.

Boyle also using their backup qb. Jhet has played really well but they aren't asking him to throw way down field either. I know Murphy has been cleared to play and he has been punting for the Rebels, but I hear he is still really sore with contact. Fully healthy I think he gets the call.

I loved the atmosphere at Western. Attended the Boyle '09 and '10 state title games and loved it. But Western's scheduling is too fluid. Caused the '12 and '13 state title weekends to be pushed to 3 days. Caused the Rafferty's bowl to be moved to Bowling Green high school this year. The third day in '12 and '13 was a big deal to the KHSAA. I liked it at WKU.

Yes, but the schedule of class games is released long before the playoffs even start. Don't see how regional bias comes into play. The location of the games is a completely different story.

I've seen Franklin twice. They are good and well coached but I don't think they make it this year.

I think so. Boyle, CC, Highlands, PT and maybe Johnson Central.

Then come playoff time, I think you should skip all of them !!
