The Jags have been no stranger to quality early season wins in the past few years, however everything seems to fall apart when district play comes around. However, this season looks to be different. NL sits at #2 in the 5A RPI standings, giving themselves a fantastic shot to make a run in the playoffs. On the other hand, the Warriors are reeling. This is not the Southwestern team many people have grown accustomed to. With that being said, Southwestern has won 7-straight against NL so perhaps there is some football form of homeostasis is on their side.

I believe that certain programs can have a psychological hold over a rival if all things are equal or at least in the vicinity. I don't think that's the case between these two teams this year.

NL's defense is legit and the Warriors have struggled offensively. Throw out the Mercer County game because Mercer can't stop anyone.

I'll take the Jags by 3-4 scores in game where Southwestern plays with some fire, but can't muster enough offense.
