I've told people all year that Fatkin was underrated. Do you know if he is planning to play in college?

All this talk of transfers and some of the things I have witnessed in the past couple of years has me wondering if any player is ever deemed ineligible due to transfer anymore? Seems that people just come and go when and wherever they want. Hicks is the only player that I know of who had to sit out a year. Has the KHSAA just given up trying to control it?

If Behanan didn't play for the KY All Stars because he didn't win Mr. Basketball that is poor sportsmanship in my book.

Matt Day of Buckhorn was 14th Region KABC POY. Day is also a final 5 contender for Mr. BBall. There was a tie for Coach of the year between John Noble of Buckhorn and Brian Hall of Powell Co.

I am sure that everyone on here realizes that the freshman playing in the state tourney will be eligible their senior years. Coaches and parents would not let a kid be held back to the point that they are too old to play their final year. What people are wondering is whether that fab frosh is 14 or 16 because it could have a bearing on how much more he will grow and improve over the next 3 years. I know of a team that has 2 seniors and there is 1 year and 49 weeks between their ages. Believe me when they were freshmen there was a huge difference in their physical maturity but not much now. I don't knock the kids who have been held back for basketball reasons, maturity, grades or whatever. I just wish that those who have done it for bball would quit trying to claim it is for reasons other than basketball and quit being overly sensitive about it. Any middle schooler getting any pt in this years tourney??

No of course not. I wondered about the support they got at home games where it is much cheaper to attend than at BOK. It had nothing to do with Rupp or Diddle.

How is the student turnout at home games? Could students be staying away from Regional games because of ticket, parking and concession prices at BOK?

Anderson had a very thin crowd also. Seems that the smaller schools like Owen and Gallatin bring the biggest crowd.

Really curious at to why Brown would have only played the last 4 mins of the game. Anyone have any ideas about that?

Gallatin County has only lost 8 games this year with 4 of those to Owen County. As they say, it is hard to beat a team 3 times and Coach Duvall and his team should be congratulated for beating a good, well coached team 4 times. Good luck to both teams in the Regional Tournament.

I only saw the list that was printed here on BGPs. I have no idea who counted the votes or where the votes were counted and have no reason to think that any coach in the 8th region would cheat on something like this.

Wow. That is a pretty strong accusation there. Any concrete reason to feel this way or are you just super suspicious .

Agree. Carr is a very good player and I would imagine that he got some votes and being only a sophomore I wouldn't be suprised to see him make All Region in the future.

What grade are the brothers from Detroit? There should be some rule about being added to the roster this late in the season. Not fair to to their opponents who haven't gotten to scout them and kinda messes up seeding of the tourney. Definately not fair to the boys who will lose playing time to the late additions. These boys from Detroit have had their season and the players from Collins should have theirs too. I would be ashamed to do this to my team if I was the coach.
